As a psychiatrist I'd like to say that sometimes, stereotypes are actually annoying. The empathy stereotype. Oh and nobody's wearing corduroy or houndstooth or whatever. Don't even know where that stereotype came from. Male psychiatrists do wear suits, some of them. Women, it's anything goes. Well, as long as it's relatively conservative. These skits should point out that we should not wear scarves or long necklaces or such: patients could grab them and strangle us. This is not a joke, either: we were told this, early on.

We did rotations with maxillofacial docs in residency. They were a SHARP bunch. And it wasn't one or two of them, they were all pretty impressive. Not saying all maxillofacial docs are that good but at least the ones in our residency were. I'm sure many elsewhere are as well.

You just get better and better, as you try to cram that much comedy into such a tiny KZfaq space! The look of disgust on Ortho's face, regarding 'feet', was perfect. Like those extra 52 bones just don't count. I think we all fell off our chairs laughing, waiting for the Jonathan Nod.

You're an inspiration my guy. Your comedy makes me want to switch from nursing to med school. That, and my overly thorough anatomy professor.

anatomy needs to be “overly thorough” for nursing as well as does pathophysiology and pharmacology…a lot of nursing students just try to “get through” those classes and it shows permanently throughout their career.

congratulations to all the new matches! IM is the likely the best possible field, in the setting of high demand in the field and low self awareness of the internists about burn out, although other possibilities can not be completely ruled out due to internal bias; if concerns persist for 3-4 months, a complete evaluation is recommended - IM hospitalist 🧐🤣

The way the internal medicine doctor spoke, his tone, is so accurate. I have seen very many of them and I just realized that I talk the same way. IM docs speak in a calm, welcoming tone because they know that is if you are seeing them, chances are you are having a crappy day

@@shovanabajracharya med students interview at multiple hospitals and then make a rank list of which residency program they want to work at. Also, the residency programs make their own rank lists of the students they interviewed. Then the Match company, NRMP, uses an algorithm to decide which students will go to which program based on the rank lists. The day students find out which program they matched into is called Match Day and get phone calls from their residency program to welcome them (this video).
