Just one other question because I'm very limited to go fishing these days (kids) I tend to have 2 or 3 rods set up and I hang them I the dark garage. What float line do you use for general float fishing as I've always had maxima in the past 3 or 4lb maximum on the float for roach bream trench and carp in to 15lb. I've recently got some horizon matrix line 6lb as it's still only 18mm but I've only used them twice this year and the line seems very brittle and breaks quite easily so. So I feel like I've got to put on some new line already so what make of line and size? That's if you do much float fishing on the rod?

Martin Hassall hi mate I’d use like a 5lb line or even 0.17 powerline it’s very strong tbh

@@MattyDawesFishing thanks can you buy this say 150 metres spools and are these ok for the reel not for the pole. Any other specific makes matt?

Hi mate I’d fish in shallow water with 2mms an corn on hook and then shallow on pellets mate!

I make floats that behave in a similar way. Lie flat sometimes, they just need a bit of encouragement. A slight lift or pull up sorts it.

Hi mate try to fish them not too deep as the shot might catch up in time maximum depth I’d go with a 4x8 is 18ich mate
