Welcome to the FPL Mate EURO 2024 Fantasy Football Matchday 2 Wildcard & Limitless Chip team selection video, transfers and captain selection, for the 2024 Euros Fantasy tournament!

@@KailamiMwiinga I nearly did too, but stuck with Eriksen on 10 points. Lukaku nearly had 2 goals though……at least Mbappe didn’t get a big score, I left him out of my squad.

I think we're expecting too much from Belgium because we saw what the golden generation could do ..... Belgium are way passed that and ....i don't think they're the same team we saw few years back. .... I'm not saying they're shit.... they're good but not golden generation good.

Because Mbappe is currently dobtful for GW2, I think Havertz will be a good replacement and then bringing in a affordable midfielder for any of the German mids

Ref captain changes…realised you can’t swap captains unless you do it BEFORE the start of a match day, thought you could wait for team news for example till the 8pm kick off to pick a late game captain. 18:03

Wwell the problem with going limitless MD3 is that possibly atleast some of the teams we would Target....might have qualified and we'd have to guess how they would rotate the team....amd theplayers who would be in the first 11 would not cost much thus it being a waste to use limitless then.... While in MD2 it's all to play for and a limitless chip would actually be of use

That’s why the Limitless is so important, and it gives you the flexibility you need.

@@FPLMate But the wildcard does that too and most likely the players will be more cheap for round 3 if you want to use players that will likely play. The most expensive players will perhaps not play!

mbappe's injury changes the transfers for sure,i was on limitless but my team is good 2 transfers and its better I'll kepp it till md3 and wildcard later

If I play Wildcard today for match day 2 and put in 3 Germans , 3 Swiss and 3 Croats can I change them all tomorrow for players that are played tomorrow?

Have you considered price rises? Supposedly they will occur when MD3 ends/when round of 16 opens. You should have a pretty clear idea who will rise (mittlestadt/faes/ruiz/...). You will have more info after round 2 ends as well. Wouldnt that sway to WC MD3, limitless MD2 strategy? Could end up having a 106mio budget😅

Seems unclear on when prices will actually change. Could be after the MD2 deadline, as per last EUROs game. Regardless, players will change price based on how many points they scored, so the only real way of taking advantage of this is to points chase. Not sure it’s worth it tbh.

You think a belgium double up is still worth it after todays games? I dont know if I trust the belgium defence enough againt a decent romanian side. I understand going for lukaku or de bruyne though.

They defended just fine for the rest of the game. I think with clean sheets so hard to come by in general, it’s probably best to just play the odds.

im on 67 points, id skip belgium this year. i only have Fraes that i brought in as a substitute and he got me 5 points

Lukaku got 2 disallowed goals but did we expect him to perform better in MD1 or MD2? I don't understand how his appeal can increase after a scoreless match. Someone playing Scotland at 5.5m up front is a much better option. Romania looked pretty good defensively with their opponent (Ukraine) failing to generate too much offensively. Lukaku's stock has not increased whatsoever.

I did it once in CL fantasy (assuming the same rules applies) and not worked. Also no +1 unused transfer added after that.

Good info Dan, just surprised that TAA and Havertz are not in at all in both drafts. 😳 I don't know why but people usually sleep on Havertz no matter what he do and this is in his home country, and no I don't think Gundogan is going to take penalty. Like he was too injured to kick a ball in a penalty but he continued to play easily? And why will you fix something that's not broken? Havertz will be taking the penalties until something happens of course.

@@Joukoari No I don't have Musiala. Havertz, Wirtz and Mittelstadt. I did have him in my 1st draft but wanted to have the great 4M Germany defender everyone was advising to get, so I changed Musiala to Bellingham and lastly went to KDB. That sucks now. 😑

I don´t think it is good to use Limitless on 3rd round because many of the top players will perhaps not play if teams are already advancing.

Make a limitless team for MD2 and you will struggle to spend €100m. I would rather try to predict in MD3 than waste my extra budget

Stay away from Croatia and Serbia, Dan. Awful performances. Chaos in dressing rooms. Rajković not nailed. Playing vs decent Slovenian side with in form Šeško. Gvardiol nailed, but he will play as a CB. Sosa likely a LB. Rest are just waste of precious spots.
