I know it might be a pain in the ass, but borrow Tim’s a PSC sensor Sony and throw his 50 mil macro lens on there and just put it on a tripod next to the peep so we can see how you’re tying in the peeping a D Loop when you’re doing it.

Thanks MFJJ for explaining why soft knots for your d-loop is a great idea. I have been trying to do my own research trying to figure out why you would want to do soft knots. Now i know. I have always wanted to put them on my bow but wanted to understand why its a good idea beyond the single idea of trying to save your d-loop position when replacing a bad d-loop. Much appreciated. Unfortunately my local bow shop doesnt do this. And i shoot my bow a lot. Or atleast i think i do. And trying to get my strings to last as long as possible is a big deal to me. 👍

First off I love your videos. Just getting into bows. The frustrating part I have on your videos is that you review and score the bows but I'm not finding a spreadsheet or anything showing all the bows or 2024 bows or some sort of category for your scoring in one place that I can see side by side. I have to watch every video to see the scores. If you have that on your site or something will you please let me know? Great build video. Thank you.

Okay here is a real challenge. I would love to see a score difference between the flagship bow of the year against the budget bow of the year at 50 yards. If done honestly we could put a value on each point. It will make a lot of people mad but I would love to see it.

@@10flyingdutchman I watch that video twice now. It was a not real test. The arrows where different and to be honest they are both Matthew's bows. It was a 7 point difference and a price difference of 1200 bow to a 359 dollar bow. How much is each point worth? I believe it was more like 3000 dollars bow vs a 600 dollar bow with all the extras. It would be awsome to see the difference in the top 2 top budget top flagship and let us know the price per point. Thank you for replying.

Doesn't a d loop that short create torque on the string when it's at full draw using a handheld release that's twisting it 45 degrees? For an index it won't matter but for a handheld my thinking was it shouldn't pressure the string

I mentioned this in the previous video...Keith your grip is too deep on the OnneX C, back off one set of knuckles so your hand is more flat. It gives you a more consistent anchor point and it moves the head of the release more in line with the string vs pulling the head away from your face.

@GBBLGBL
@GBBLGBL 8 ай бұрын
@@jkeithhowe It's a Dudley thing ☺ He is very adamant about drawing and anchoring with as flat of a hand as possible. My guess it will feel very different and possibly a little more difficult at first but like John mentions if you draw too deep on your grip as you relax slightly after your anchor the release now moves and your anchor point literally moves.

@@WolfinWolvesClothing713 maybe I asked someone who knows more about bows, bow companies and bow technology than you and I combined most likely. I've seen Athens comments when people ask about it and they say it's new technology and it works differently. But it uses an Allen wrench to move the axle from side to side. Which is the same as Bowtech. I asked the question in hopes that if he hadn't seen it he would want to get his hands on one or at least look into it.

From the inside edge of the riser to the centerline of your arrow. This is centershot in most brand name bows, not including newer Bears, though, they can run 7/8 to 3/4 depending on cam lean and tune.

Great vlog Josh and your friend there did a really great job setting up his new bow. Congrats buddy!! Josh just one thing to point out and say is that I do not hate Mathews that I would not consider shooting them I just do not like that everyone thinks that they are the best bow out there and they sure do the most marketing out there than any other bow brand just to push their products and in my opinion there are just as good bows and maybe even better than Mathews out there. Each to their own. I shoot Hoyt and I love the product and people bitch and belly ack about how much they are and the tunning capability. At the end of the day is that sometimes you have to give up something to make the product better and that is what Hoyt has done. So then Josh what is your honest opinion on Hoyt bows because we all know that you just rave about Mathews like everyone else does. And also why do you guys in the USA get all offended when someone asks you how does a manufacturer pay you!!!

Have you thought that maybe he actually does like Mathews as much as he says he does?? And maybe so does everybody else who isn’t sponsored by Mathews? Bows are just like ford/ram/chevy trucks. Everybody has their opinion on which one they think is best. Let’s just agree that we all aren’t going to agree on what we think is the best. And most importantly, why do you care so much about his opinion on Mathews? It obviously hasn’t swayed your opinion to switch from Hoyt so why complain about it?? Just my 2 cents…whether you cared to hear it or not.

I do know what you’re getting at. My whole point was who gives a F what somebody thinks about Mathews. Obviously you do though….enough to write a long comment to pout about it. Now that commenting is available, I will post here as well. Anyone that has actually been following these channels/ MFJJ, Tim Connor, and their podcast since they started them would know this and should actually care and call them out for the dishonesty. They were giving away 2023 flag ship bows from Matthew’s, Hoyt, bowtech, etc..(there were like 10 bows) and that was over 6 months ago. They said they were going to call people and had people fill out forms online with their personal information. MFJJ said he would be calling people and having them come in to make videos of the bow and him building them for people and it was contingent on people being able to drive or fly to him so he could make the videos and give them the bows. He also said they would be given away before hunting season so people could use them and here we are, hunting season is over and he never brings it up or talks about it again. Love the channels and love watching them but seems pretty scummy to not go through with something like that or even have a follow up video even though you took peoples information🤷‍♂️💀

A lot of what they call innovations I just don't care that much about, I don't mind them, but they really aren't all that. The machined in pic rails and especially the machined in dovetail stuff, while nice just isn't worth the big$. I would rather see a riser drilled and tapped for a removable pic rail if they continue down this road. have give props to the light weight that Hoyt and Matthews did this year though. However imo the adjustability/tuneability innovations that bowtech and elite have been doing, way more impressive than the integrated accessory stuff, if either or both of them start doing the weight reduction they would be hard to even compare to anything else.
