Here is where I purchased the 75 VSH Queen cells - www.stevensbeeco.com/ Now that I have had a chance to go thru all of the 75 mating nucs I have been very pleased with the mating percentage and the queens performance. This yard was exactly 80% Now we must manage heat stress, nutritional stress and mite stress and hopefully the fall flow will be great!

Greetings from the UK Kamon. Love your videos and even though I'm a long way across the pond your information is completely relevant to what I'm doing here. I have a tiny hobby apiary but am looking to expand to around 10 hives next year so your videos are a great help. Don't let the nay sayers get to you dude! Keep up the good work

Here's a thought, if you could get your kids to make up some starter strip frames with fishing string ,like Joe,(skinny bee man) likes. You would have comb built you can use frame and prevent possibly of any hive beetles (they only want comb with honey)I use them in my swarm traps and never a hive beetle problem.also put a few in spring in regular hive and they built it out and I spun it out and it held together. I know time isn't on our side and those frames are very time consuming, but if my kids were still at home I'd pay them to make some up:)

Thanks for keeping the videos coming and always speaking in details what's going on, and what time of what month were in. I patiently wait for y'all and Bobs videos to stay on top of next step. Thanks to yall this is the first year I've increased instead of losing and it's all because of y'all educational videos. This is the first year in history that I haven't considered giving up. I'm retiring from heavy equipment operating but still have equipment. If I can ever be of your assistance please let me know. I'm in Taft tn .

Yah, I don't wear any more protection than I have to but I carry full armor close by if they decide to get mean. Seems early spring and late fall are my worst bees for meanness. That poison Ivy tears me up bad. I have to go see a Dr. cause it gets systemic and breaks out all over my body with puss running down from the welts. Nasty crap. Sure glad Laurel can help out with something at least. LOL She is going to hate me for that comment.

Ive got a method that's been 100% success for intros using a micro colony with mated queen and introduce them to a large colony that has a mated queen.... and I end up with a colony with 2 laying queens ( different levels). I do this to give small colony a chance to build up while getting a boost in bee brood. Im putting a video up on my channel. It only takes a few minutes.

I hear you about poison ivy, I could look at it in a book and get it. Every year I get it then I have to see the doctor and get a shot and take meds and then it is gone in about three days So you don't fill the nukes up with five frames? Keep up the great videos and stay cool.

Kamon, good afternoon. I have a question regarding protein supplementation in the hives during this time other than pollen patties. I have seen a video where the beekeeper spoke about adding protein powder to his sugar syrup, and he has not responded to my question as to whether what he added was a pollen supplement. I see where you are adding patties on this month, and although I don't have a large SHB issue currently, I am interested in mixing pollen sub in with my sugar syrup and doing an open feeding. Are you familiar with this idea? Thanks.
