It is 2023 already and I am still listening to this song from the 2000s era, I had it on my Ipod back then, I was a teenager, now I'm in my early 30s.

I was 14 when this song came out in in 2004. It’s May 2023 now and I’m now 33. This song still hits me hard being in my mid 30s as it did when I was a teen.

I remember when MTV played this constantly and I just loved it. I’ve never been particularly religious but I’ve always appreciated religious and spiritual music, and this goes so hard.

This song just randomly popped in my head and idk why. Haven't heard it in over a decade. Glad it did 😁

All of these people commenting about Gaza, Palestine, anti-semitisim, anti israel but thats not what this song or any of his songs are trying to achieve.... we already dont have enough time in this world to fill it with thoughts of hate. The first time I ever heard the name Matisyahu was earlier this year when he canceled a performance at the House of Blues in Chicago because of violent anti Israeli protests. I went online to find information about him. Who is this guy? I've been listening to his music ever since because it's really good. I'm not a rap or reggae fan so the subtitles behind him in the video are helpful 😊. I'll continue to explore his music 😃.

Christians here 🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏻‍♀️. And I was a teenager when I heard the song for the first time.

I’m a catholic but I’ve always vehemently believe we can draw strength from others. I once participated in Ramadan. My Muslim friend explained to me that Ramadan isn’t supposed to be about repentance but actually feeling the immense love you have for your God and those around you. I found that to be really beautiful. Also I follow the tribal culture how everything in the natural world has purpose and soul and everything is connected to each other. Just as this song who is sung by a Hasidic Jew and this is so beautiful and spiritual you can’t help but wonder how everything is all connected with each other. We may look and act differently but really we’re from the same family the same circle. We’re all connected to one another.
