I don't know why i was trying to reply to you, i'll say this, i never said that being hasidic was the only option, only that leaving the sec was what damaged him from a cultural perspective. many people liked him because he was Hasidic, he goes and leaves the sect people got mad and left his fandom. it's sad because he has good music and because of his journey he was never going to stay where he was. he's one of those people that i wouldn't be surprised we find out later that he converted to Shinto and Buddhism.
