Reggae artist and rapper Matisyahu visited the Pandora House in Austin, Texas and performed a poolside session of old favorties and brand new tracks from his forthcoming album, 'Akeda' set to premiere on June 3, 2014. Check out this dubbed-out rendition of "Watch the Walls Melt Down."

I agree. I saw him live a few months ago and he seemed pretty somber. He danced around, beat boxed and performed well as usual but he literally came out, did his set and left. Never actually spoke to the crowd once. It was a little bit of a let down. Seemed like something was bugging him.

might have something to do with major problems in his life at this time which is what the entire album is about? wife divorced him, battling with custody of kids and whatnot. Tough time for him right now

I liked his original sound and look better. He was young and idealistic and passionate about sharing a message of God and love with the world. Now my heart goes out to the guy, but his music seems a little worse for wear. I just... I used to feel inspired by him, not just his music but his lifestyle and values. It's difficult to realize your idols are just people too I suppose.

I'm sure he is still a good person, but it takes serious devotion to develop yourself spiritually like Matis did for so many years. When you let the worldly things back in it changes you. And the spiritual nature of his music that you could feel is definitely missing now. I'm sure it's nothing a bit more prayer and scripture study couldn't fix;)

Colby Paradiso If you're asking what do I think his motivation was for leaving his values behind, probably just being human like the rest of us. I'm not religious and have no idea how people can hold themselves to such high standards. I felt his values were utopian and idealistic, and while it's hard to make that last, I feel it influenced his music for the better. If you're asking what evidence do I have to suggest he left his values behind, I think his divorce and physical appearance suggest a shift in values. Again, not that I disagree with him living his life. I just miss the old sound.
