Kathy Bates is the best and this looks like fun, let's hope the writing lives up to the trailer and keeps going strong. Considering typical retirement age is 65, but folks are now living till 85-100, there is still a lot that seniors can still contribute to the job market, so hope folks take notice 'cuz eventually we all reach 65 yrs old but may not be ready to be put out to pasture. Go for Matlock.

Folks have always lived to be 85-100. Most don't. More do in countries with great healthcare, but unfortunately the US isn't one of them.

@@ohana8535 Exactly, the only reason why people believe humans only lived to be 30 was because so many children die in childbirth...it lowers the national average of life expectancy. Now that we have advanced prenatal care the life expectancy is higher. People have always lived to be 80-100

I started watching this thinking "oh hell no" because I thought it was a reboot of the 80s classic. When it was over? I was a little mad there's no premiere date. There's no doubt Kathy's gonna crush this. I loved her in Harry's Law so I just may end up loving her in this. And it has a good message. Grey hair, wrinkles and being in a certain age bracket doesn't mean life is over and a person is useless. The kid rocking out to the Matlock theme song at the end had me laughing. Can't wait to start watching this

SAME! about the first sentence. I think it is more like a combination of the 80s Matlock ( an older lawyer) and Murder She Wrote (woman that flies under the radar).

Well, that brought back memories of the TV show Matlock! The later series were filmed in my area. I remember when my husband and I were driving and saw the film crew set up. I told him, "oh, lets stop" and he kept saying no, he wasn't interested but after I insisted we stopped parked a block or two away and started walking toward the set when we saw walking, the one that played his daughter! I can't remember her name! My husband then said, lets walk around the block again! Wonder why he all of a sudden he got interested? 😁😁😁

Given that Leah Lewis is playing a Lawyer on this show and is about to become one on Nancy Drew, I would've loved to have this to be a continuation of her story, with "George" being her character as well. THAT would've been perfect. But aside from that: The trailer looks very promising. I will definitely watch the show.

Spooky timing. Just as I was leaving a comment on Kylie's page thanking her for being so inspirational for us 50+ ladies and making us seen the first line on this trailer was about just that. This might be actually good. This is nothing like the old school Matlock this is new and fresh and the older the person the more over looked they are so i say hell yes bring this on.
