@@sundrop3911 That's one thing I haven't tried, although I've pondered it. On the other hand, the bedroom I sleep in almost literally abuts the garden, and I also wonder how neighbors would react (although in one case it would be only fair, given the number of times raucous parties have kept me awake.

I lost my dog the other night I had to have him put down due to illness. He was 15 & had been with my 14yrs. I was with family over the weekend but this morning they left. I totally understand when you talk about feeling lonely & depressed. I am a widow of 7 years so am used to being alone but I always had my dog. I feel better this evening & am watching Matt & Tipper work in their gardens. They always cheer me. Hope you feel better soon.

Cayenne pepper. That repels deer and a lot of different kinds of critters. You can sprinkle it over your plants or use it in a spray. It's worked as far as I know for a lot of people and for us! One tablespoon of Cayenne pepper, one tablespoon of garlic powder, one tablespoon of dish detergent, one tablespoon vegetable oil and a gallon of water...to make the spray. It won't harm the animals, but it has a very strong smell to them that they don't like.

A premier one electric net fence with solar charger would keep deer out. We have them for animals but they have ones for gardens as well. I wish we would of gotten one for our garden cuz the green wire rabbit fence we got that you can step over the rabbits squeeze right through them. I love the electric net though cuz you can take then down to store for winter and easily move them where needed. Add to em or just use a small area

My good friend thank you another fabulous and fun video it was good catching up with you good folks and I'm so glad that I hung on and watched the entire video because the absolute best part for me was that the end, when Matt said that Olive was probably barking at a bug!!! That just tickled me and made me chuckle out loud and made my day. I have two real good pups myself named Daffy and Polly and oh yes they will bark at a shadow and a bug for sure. Peace and happy to you good folks from Jack in Kernersville, NC

That's so funny and ironic Matt bought the same truck twice! 😁 And from his dad! And that it has manual windows and locks!!😮 Very cool. I'd love to see someone wind down the old window cranks on a vid sometime! 😊 Have a blessed week, guys! ❤ Looking forward to hearing baby news soon! 🙏🏼

When my dad was stationed in Michigan, my folks rented a farm house with barn and barn yard. My dad planted corn in the stock yard. Folks told hi the frost would get his corn. But he ended up with the highest corn in the county. He was 6/7 and he couldn’t reach the top of the corn stocks.

It’s been so hot here in Eastern Ky. Yesterday we had a thunderstorm that took down one of our trees in our front yard. On a good note , it has cooled down a little from the rain yesterday. These temperatures are very hot for June. Someone that works with friends of ours, got bit by a copperhead in a raised bed she was working on. I guess he was laying in a cool spot and didn’t want to be bothered. Thanks for your videos.

Back in the mid 70's I bought a 67 Ford F-!00 with a big block V-8 with three in the tree and Armstrong steering. Made a ton of money with that truck. Drove it all over the midwest and even into Canada. What was great was if I needed to work on it I could climb into the engine compartment and work on anything that needed fixing. I'd buy it back just for the sentiment.

"She's probably barking at a bug." That gave me a good laugh. It really sounds like lovely Olive though. LOL My Grandma used to always say, "it's hot as a bake oven out there." My Grandpa had a lot of hot weather sayings, but not suitable for polite company. LOL Your hard work in the gardens is really coming to fruition and I'm so happy for you. God bless.

Hey there! Love you and the girl's channels. My husband and I have been looking in and around Murphy for some property on a river or creek ,we are from Georgia and we are upcoming on retirement age in several years, and our little county of Jackson has grown too much and we are needing an escape, at least for weekends and vacations. Murphy holds a special place in my heart.

Tipper--I've fought a losing war, with battle after battle finding me in retreat and defeat, with deer. I've basically surrendered, because I have so many deer around me they are overwhelming. Just this past week I saw two different does, along with two fawns, eating blueberries. That's never happened before. Here's a partial list of what I've tried: 1. Human hair 2. Cheap perfume 3. Cheap aftershave lotions 4. 8-foot high protective netting 5. Staggered levels and depths of strong monofilament fishing line 6. Various commercial repellents 7. Tin pie plates 8. Streamers 9. Urine 10. Electrical fence 11. Burning whitetail butts with birds shot (I had a depredation permit from the wildlife folks) 12. Planting things they supposedly don't like between things such as tomatoes (marigolds, for example) 13. Homemade sprays of things such as hot pepper 14. Motion lights There's more, a lot more, but this is enough to provide a picture. About my only solace comes when I cut into a perfectly cooked piece of venison tenderloin, maybe a venison cheeseburger pie, or think about the sales of the three venison cookbooks I've written.
