Went to spectate the Irish Open about 5ish years ago. After completing the round Matt and his family sat up on a mound beside the chipping/pitching green and watched Rory practice. He was so humble and was intent on watching Rory. I knew then he was dedicated and a family man and professional. Well done Matt.

Remember when he chastised chasing Distance? It takes an open mind and the right disposition to change their mind in the face of new information. Big fan of Fitzy and was glad to have seen him at the Canadian Open this year making chit-chat down the fairway with Carl Yuan.

Such a nice, humble guy. Deserves everything he gets, was amazing when he won the US.

Role model as a sportsman and a man. Great interview. Wondered if his physique improvement like some big pros have made is a next level step.

Jake could learn a lot from a humble guy like Matt.

Interesting that some top sportsmen (MJ, Kobe, Tiger, CR7, being the obvious examples) are just wired different, and are complete outliers in terms of having that winner's personality. Then others like Matt (altho obviously not on the same level) can be successful while being totally unassuming.
