The 2020 turbo levo comp changed my life. I have very severe panic disorder/ PTSD and service injuries. On a regular bike I would ride 2 or 3 miles then feel anxiety due to increased heart rate and being in the middle of the woods. But with the ebike, I can go 12 miles no problem and it gives me the confidence and security in the middle of the woods to know I can make it out. Life changed. Love the EMBN content, and bought 2 shirts recently to represent.

I have been riding MTBs from the days when they had no suspension (honest)! Up to the present day, I am now 67 and the best thing I have bought is my 2018 Trance E which opens up another world of riding. Some days I just want a lazy ride and the bike does the hard work and other days a real good workout. All I can say is get yourself an E MTB and ride off into the sunset, Brilliant, Cheers from Victoria, Australia.

6:55 I actually started out mtbiking on an ebike and it helped me a lot. I did 2600km til now and got it in March last year. Was able to go into the mountains of South Tyrol and progressed way more than my friends could just because I could always go for a few extra laps after them.

This was a great video for exposing people to another great part of mountain biking. It does not have to be one or the other. If you love mountain biking, you can also love eMountain biking. Keep up the great work of being good ambassadors to emtbing. My message for people is to make biking be what you want it to be for you. Get out, ride what you want and enjoy.

That's a good point, I'm a downhill guy and i have ridden downhill tracks back to back with my heavier downhill bike and a friends much lighter carbon enduro bike and i have to say it was much harder work on the light bike. I have never ridden an ebike but i love the concept,especially the self uplift feature, i just cant afford one.

You know it doesnt take super powers to make those jumps. It's all about carrying the speed and commitment. The pro lines here and BPW are all about getting your speed up, go fast you can clear anything and they are so well built they fire you to the landing easily

Welcome to the e-bike side. I still ride me regular bike at the jump park but for big mountain the ebike is the best. So many runs on a ebike yes you will hear comments while you pass others riders. I am having fun.

It's amazing that there are pros out there who are only now making their first rides on an ebike; especially in the UK. I wouldn't have been that surprised if they had been Yanks since we're a bit behind the world in that regard with a whole lot of haters still out there. Maybe when they have an emtb division of Rampage will they get the acceptance they deserve in the states. A great opportunity to get first ride reactions from expert mtb'ers. Nice work Chris.

@@111MoRri111 Obviously you wouldn’t be able to climb Cam Zink’s descent line but you work out the most radical climb line and couple that with a great descent. It’s all judged anyway so it would be in the eye of the beholder. There’s already an ebike race circuit in Europe that gets a lot of participation from retired male and female mountain bike racers that’s strictly a timed event. You should check it out. The concept is great and those guys are still some of the best riders in the world.

Got an eBike to help in my heart attack recovery. Now riding 5 times a week because the eBike puts less stress on my heart and need less recovery time between rides. I tried that on my analogue bike and just couldn't do it...caused issues. Just loving being able to ride this much again (was riding 275klms/week prior to my cardiac event) 🚵👍😀

Bought a pivot shuttle bc Ebiking looked fun. Took it out and it just didn’t feel like I was Mt biking. Felt like I was taking the escalator at the mall. Sold it after one ride. Thank goodness for the pandemic otherwise i would have lost a lot of money trying to sell a used bike in normal times.

These look like so much fun! It's sad that in pretty much everywhere I ride in New England, they're not legal. People have the perception of them over here that they're basically dirt bikes and that people are going to be going full speed around trails, constantly ripping up trails and crashing into hikers and other riders. 🙄

As more people buy emtb’s very capable enduro/DH ability. Maybe some consideration into uplifting your selves at these bike parks. It would save money on up lift trucks for the bike park.🤘

I like how a comment was made in the beginning that "I was an e-bike skeptic my whole life" (just how old are you?) then later says "I never did long rides, embarrassed to say I hate pedaling", thus puncturing a core hypocrisy of ebike opposition, that ebikes are cheating and that conventional riders earn their downhills. Funny how different the outcome is when the talk is about actually riding the bikes rather than the superiority of my team over yours.

What he means by that is that he had a negative opinion generally, without conditions. He never considered them interesting for any riding at all. Also note that I did not say HE was hypocritical or that HE made cheating claims, I made a general comment about "a core" claim of e-bike opposition, that is a claim that mountain biking is about "earning your downhills" when it is not. If you ever engage in these irrational discussions you will inevitably come up against this argument, that REAL MTBers earn their descents and that EMTB is a crutch for riders that don't deserve to ride trails that are the exclusive domain of "strong" riders. Here is the clear counter-example and its really the majority who engage in this type of riding.

The rider made a specific comment, I was interpreting that comment and providing reasoning for my interpretation, not "micro managing" nor making any claims that you are implying that I am. As for them being "another toy", how is that contributing to anything and why are you offering it in response to my comments? Have I said anything that would disagree with that? As opposed to the broad dismissal that I called out that you are now defending? Seems to me that you just want to be argumentative. Right back at ya.

I thought the UK was on lockdown ? Am I missing something here ? 2 women got fined the other week for going 5 miles from there house for a walk and 2 older ladies were actually arrested for having a cup of coffee on a bench but Matt Jones is travelling to Wales with his mates and not keeping 6 foot social distance. Before anyone starts I don't think Matt or anyone shouldn't be out doing stuff because I dont think there should be any lockdowns but my issue is why is it one rule for the plebs (general public) and a different rule for youtubers and people with money. Can some one enlighten me ? I Phoned the police helpline to ask if I can go mountain biking and they said only if its a short distance away from home and not for very long. This guys gone to bloody Wales! I'm baffled.
