I am fan of Olson. I love this dudes swing. The Braves have another WS title coming their way in the next few years, or maybe this year, and he will be a big part of it.

Also hearing Matt’s dad talk about that first at bat. Man that’s what dads dream of. So cool. Hometown guys just mean more

I’m just now finding out Matt went to Parkview in Lilburn! I went to Camp Creek elementary as a kid! Already loved the dude and now I find out I grew up in the exact same town as he did.

I'm a Bay Area native. I've been an Oakland A's fan for 50 years. I watched and fell in love with Matt Olson in Oakland. In 2019 I moved to Tennessee. In 2021 I became a Braves fan as I watched their thrilling journey to the World Series victory. Then I celebrated the arrival of a young man whom I already admired to a team I had learned to love. I love baseball, and I'm thrilled to see this talented young man fulfill his childhood dreams !

I actually think 2-3 years from now all Braves fans will understand what we are trying to build by adding Matt. So much talent on that time, so much fun to watch.

Fast-forward a month from when this video was posted and Matt is hitting his stride and playing great. He's going to be a cornerstone of what the Braves do for a longtime
@alexh86132 жыл бұрын
Umm, no he's not. He's only hitting .248 with only 8 home runs. His strikeouts have risen while his OPS has nose-dived. All the home runs that he hit last year have turned into doubles this year.

This young man put me in the mind of Dale Murphy. His manner, his demeanor and his ability! When I was a boy I watched Dale Murphy (Mr. Clean) if some of you remember that. We need more like them both in baseball. Not the flamboyance and drama of today! Thank you Dale Murphy and Matt Olson. These are the heros kids need to look up to!

Love Freddie, I’m mad the Braves let that one get away, happy for Freddie though and as a Braves fan for life, I honestly couldn’t think of a better guy to play other than Freddie, and he’s not expected to be Freddie Freeman, we want Matt Olson. CHOP CHOP!

Huge A’s fan but Olson is my biggest inspiration by far… I’m a lefty and a pitcher and first baseman. When he got traded I was devastated. I still am. If he got traded though I’m so glad it’s to the Braves. Rooting for him!!

Olson had 2 bombs last night and leading the MLB in doubles. BRAVES are the hottest team in baseball at this point 6/29/2022 After Freddie just came through Atlanta and finally recieved his ring, it's clear Freddie is and always will be a brave no matter what jersey he's wearing. His agent is the one to thank for this situation. In my mind everyone won except Freddie. I bet Freddie would pay twice his contract to go back and forget this ever happened.

@alexh86132 жыл бұрын
Yes, but they are paying him to lead the league in home runs. Doubles are great if you are a .300 hitter. When you are hitting only .248 with significantly more strikeouts, those doubles need to be home runs.
