I agree with your assessment that the administration's role in suppressing this story is the story, though it's not clear to me yet what the extent of their role was; that said, this piece come too close to discounting that role for reasons that are also unclear. That Taibbi acknowledges the lack of evidence to support his conjecture that the admin was involved in suppressing this story FOR OBVIOUS REASONS, or that the MSM could be expected to share an interest in suppressing it, even if only for ideological reasons, does not warrant the character assassination of Taibbi for accessing the material discussed in this piece. As for "his brain breaking"? C'mon. If this channel hadn't already spent so much time maligning other podcasts and reporters, I might assume this isn't just another hit MR piece, but...
