I have seen Blackbriar live 3 times: as support act for Epica, as special guest for Charlotte Wessels and as co-headliner with Ad Infinitum. They are truly amazing live!

Blackbriar is amazing live I have seen them live 6 times so far and a seventh is on the way when they support Kamelot on their tour. The band easily recognises me now and especially the bassist likes spotting me, last time I saw them he walked up to me when it was over and handed me his guitar pick which I got signed immediately. They also played Moonflower live when I saw them and even did Snow White and Rose Red with the same guest vocalist as Moonflower. At that show they also had the amazing Dutch folk metal band Solarcycles with them, I totally recommend checking them out they are very new but they impressed me and so I have to promote them whenever I can. Their song Ode To The Forest is a good place to start it even has an official live version you can check out. I am a huge Blackbriar fan in fact they were the first metal concert I attended in person, because of course I became a fan of metal music right before the pandemic. It was always meant to happen though and I truly thank my older brother for introducing me to Blackbriar, I have a battle jacket now or begun making one at least and to no one's surprise my back patch is Blackbriar cut out from a shirt I bought at that very first metal show. I sadly bought it a size too small but now it is the highlight of my battle jacket, or at least my small start of a battle jacket. Next time I am seeing Blackbriar I am getting them to sign the back patch so it is complete, just like the battle jacket of my concert friend though he painted on that back patch. Another thing I have to thank Blackbriar for is getting me into contact with who I now consider my best friend, I love it every time I bump into him at a concert.

Because she is committed to opposing the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine and, among other things, collecting funds for the victims in Ukraine, she faces 15 years in prison in her home country as a "foreign agent". This video was shot 20 km from where I live...been to a wedding there as a kid. Not nearly as creepy a castle during the daytime.

I always forget this one's out. I keep going back to their latest album frequently tho. It's a great song, their voices just melt together. And it was inspired by a gothic novella Carmilla. Idk, if you know the story but in short: it's about a teenaged girl Laura preyed upon by a female vampire named Carmilla (portrayed by the guest vocalist Marjana in the video). So basically you got the romantic part right, Marjana's the vampire hence the blood in the corner of her mouth. It's an interesting story indeed.

This might be my favourite Blackbriar song currently, it's so creepy and haunting. I ordered the single and it came with signatures from Zora and Marjana!

Oh yes, great choice, this song and the video is *so* Carmilla (1872 novel by Sheridan Le Fanu) with it's creepy gothic vibes, central European setting and homosexual subtext.
