Mamma mia, che modo duro e crudele di insegnare a nuotare ad un bambino così piccolo!!! Nonostante continui a piangere dalla paura, lo spinge sott'acqua. Non sapevo esistesse un metodo così TRAUMATICO!!!! 🥴🥴😱😱😱😱😱

This is a life saving technique that I bet many parents who lost a small one to drowning wish they would have known they could of taught their child this. Maybe not every child needs it like others but if someone owns a pool or is around bodies of water, I applaud the ppl who have their children taught this.

It's not swimming, it's floating. It's torture - they have no choice, sink or swim (or float). There are much better fun ways of learning to swim.
@shannonshaffar5058 Жыл бұрын
There are many more fun ways of learning to swim, but this is called infant self rescue for a reason. It’s exactly like you just said it sink or swim or float. For example, say you’re crawling seven-month-old happen to get through a dog door when you turned around to throw away trash in the pantry. The next thing you know you either see an infant. He’s already be in a few minutes without air or an infant floating on his back in the water because that’s what he was trained to do. There are mini mini stories of infants and toddlers that have drowned and I can almost guarantee you that when you hear how it happened, you’re so shocked because you realize that you could’ve easily done that exact thing and it was your child that got in the water. Go listen to the ISR stories, given by mothers who lost their babies to drowning incidents. Their description of how these drownings actually happened made me really think and decide to become and ISR instructor because they’re all situations that I have billion but luckily my child did not have an accident. Well I was throwing away the trash or heating up a bottle or 1000 different things. And I have always been a very conscientious Mother. I even quit my career to stay home with them because I didn’t want anyone else watching them. And it frustrates me so bad to hear these people say well I wouldn’t do that that would never happen to me because I watch my child nonstop. well then what if you have a seizure or what if your sugar drops and you pass out? I had my one and only seizure in my whole life when my youngest was four so I would’ve never expected that because I’ve never had one before. I’m diabetic, but before I became diabetic, I had hypoglycemia and anybody who knows anything about blood sugar and knows that it’s real easy to pass out when your sugar drops. No one can plan on everything and if 10 minutes of a baby crying and learning a great skill at the end is worth it over life to me. also most of these babies that you’re seeing on here are not in the last few weeks now I don’t try to sugarcoat things because some babies cry all the way until the end but the lessons are 10 minutes long and many many of these children end up laughing and loving it at the end, yes, even the six month olds if you want the names of some of those on here that have tiny infants that laugh and play in the water when it’s over I will gladly give those to you

I understand your concern...I'm a Private Infant and Toddler Swim Instructor of almost 40 years ..needless to say, I've seen it all! While their are many methods of teaching children how to swim..Teaching them how to Float , while an infant, will make them Drown Proof! I can recall back when I was not a fan. Oh yeah..I was like hell no, they're being tortured .Yada Yada...and although i do teach the SWIM-FLOAT-SWIM METHOD, I approach it a different way, but I get the same results. ..just do some research on the ISR method and maybe you'll understand a litl better. REMEMBER that Infants up to 2,3 years are not physically capable to learn traditional Swimming....they cant propel themselves thru the water yet......with breath control ect. BUT INFANTS CAN FLOAT BEFORE THEY CANT DO ANYTHING ELSE... .#floatyourbaby #saynotopuddlejumpers #Littleguppiesaquaticsprivateswimlessons

You can always tell which kids don't hear no very often or which kids run the show at home. They're the ones that freak the most! For many, it's the first time in their lives an adult has been calling the shots and they don't like it! And they let everyone know!! But they comply too!

@echoecholima2 жыл бұрын
Just to be a pain in the a** and play devils advocate, consider a scenario that doesn’t match your description - In other words, what if I told you there are babies who don’t run the show at home, and whose parents adhere strictly to whatever child-rearing style you feel is most effective and appropriate, and yet those babies still panic and shriek for the entirety of their first dozen ISR classes - How would you make sense of that information? Would you believe me if I told you some babies are simply too young to understand the situation? What if I told you some babies are just more fearful by nature than others? And finally, would you believe me if I told you there are babies who are genuinely in fear for their lives, and truly believe they could drown at any second, even though that seems totally irrational to us grown adults? Just some things to consider :-)
@MeeMee-gz5vp Жыл бұрын

@shannonshaffar5058 Жыл бұрын
@@MeeMee-gz5vp meemee I disagree, you need to research this more before you make that comment. Do you know that drowning is the number one accidental death in children under the age of five so if they cry for 10 minutes a day for about two weeks and then stop crying because they start to learn how to float on their back and aren’t afraid anymore. Furthermore, with these lessons these babies would be able to possibly save themselves if they got away from a parent and got in water. These parents aren’t naïve this isn’t just a money making scheme. I guess you don’t know that they say no child will be turned away even if you can’t pay for it they do the lessons for free. So think about that before you comment.

Well of course they don’t like it. But it’s a necessity. Just because a child doesn’t like school doesn’t mean you pull them out. They don’t swallow much water, babies have a reflex to automatically hold their breath under water, it’s quite neat:) I know it can be hard to watch, but it helps them develop strength and motor skills while learning life saving skills. It also teaches them not to be afraid of the water at a young age, so that within a few months they won’t be crying. It’s recommended to get baby’s swimming lessons:)

You can prepare them to not cry. I put mine in regular swim lessons and taught her myself to get used to water in a playful way for several months. She can swallow water and be submerged briefly without crying. Now I’m looking to put her into infant self rescue classes. Long preparation is the key.

And y'all can criticize all you want, but even the best plans of caution and protection don't always work. You're assuming every child drowning was due to a neglegent parent and that simply isn't true! Babies get into things and even more so toddlers. They're quick and smart. Just wait til y'all have kids. kids have drown while surrounded by a multitude of people it's not always bc someone wasn't watching. I'd rather my child know than not. 5 yrs ago, we buried my bffs almost 2 yr old to drowning in a pool. It was heartbreaking. I watched a good, solid, hardworking, single mom spiral into a lost and broken drug addict. We didn't just lose him that day, we lost her too. What's it gonna mean to you when you stand over a casket and think, for a few tears and a $100, this could have been prevented. 😥 Trust me, your kid will thank you too.

It’s not child abuse. It helps develop motor skills and strength earlier while teaching them a life saving skill. Babies have a reflex to hold their breath under water, and it feels comfortable for them because it reminds them of the womb. My first swimming lessons were at age 7 and it took me a year to even submerge my head because I was so scared, these babies won’t have that issue as they’re introducing it young. Of course they don’t like it but just because a child screams and cries at school doesn’t mean you take them out. It’s recommended to get your infant swimming lessons. I know it can be hard to watch them struggle, but it does nothing that’s not beneficial in the long run:)
@stickywicket7585 Жыл бұрын
@@_kikizaman_ If the babies are comfortable why are they screaming.?? Listen you can say what you want to but to me this is a traumatic experience for babies. Here they are in a place which is all water. They're taken into it against their will and made to float on their backs then someone starts dunking them under the water. They start crying then they're screaming while getting a workout trying to stay afloat and having someone dunking them under the water. These poor babies are probably becoming exhausted faster because of all these activities occuring at the same time. They have to resign themselves because they realize nobody's coming to get them out of this nightmare. They can see one or maybe both parents but don't understand why the parents aren't coming to help them. It's traumatic and, bonus, they can't depend on mom and/or dad to save them. All that screaming and crying is the babies way of saying HELP but it's ignored instead. Children should learn to swim. My son took swimming lessons one summer and was able to swim well and jump off the high five before summers end. He was 8 y/o. All I'm saying is babies who are a few days or a few months old are too young to understand why these things are happening. They may even feel as if they can't trust people including their own parents. Normally if a little one starts wailing like in these videos mom or dad or both come running. Parents, grandparents etc wouldn't allow their child or grandchild continue to cry and scream. That's why swimming lessons for infants just don't make sense to many people. If babies are left to cry too long it can cause acid reflux and also hernias. These lessons aren't good for infants or the parents who stand by watching and also are upset because they aren't supposed to put a stop to it even though you know they want to.
