Why do we hold on to these outdated gender roles and expectations? Men can be kind without chivalry and old fashioned gentle men codes. Chivalry is also incredibly infantilizing to women because you're basically treating her like a child who needs a father figure to protect her.

Chivalry isn’t dead it just needs to adapt

You can't adapt traditional gender roles to the modern world. That's like trying to put square peg in a round hole. Men need to liberate themselves from traditional male gender roles completely. What about effeminate heterosexual men? Those types of men are not naturally chivalrous? What you gonna do tell them to "man up" and conform to outdated social norms? I also think chivalry is quite sexist and patronizing to women. men can be kind and compassionate without these old fashioned gentlemen codes.
