I love the portrayal of Matthew.

The guy who plays Matthew can act so well. In fact all of them are astonishingly good at their craft. Thank you all for bringing Our Lord to the screen. It's even more urgent for people to come to salvation. Awesome job!

Pray people! Pray hard for this series. God has gifted us so much and we are so blessed by how he is working through these wonderful people. I Pray for continued generous funding so that these actors can continue to be paid, for warmer weather so that the actors and crew do not get sick, for their continued good health, that they do not get Covid19, and thank you for the land provided, the generous donations so far, and for VidAngel and The Chosen. Mathew (Paras Patel) is hands down my absolute favorite character of the disciples!!! He is a phenomenal actor and my heart has grown so attached to his character ❤️ Keep up the fantastic work you guys! You're changing the world. You made our Savior so real to me, creating the human side of Jesus so we can relate. Bringing him to us in a human form, lifting Him off the pages of the Bible, I can now make my prayers to Him comfortable like I would talk to a loving Father. I never felt comfortable praying to a "omnipotent, creator, the beginning and the end" which He is, but seeming so mistical to me, made my prayer time impersonal . Thank you for your God given art.

1:22 The scene between Matthew and Phillip where Matthew draws a circle and says he's feels like an outcast hit me hard on a personal level. Cuz I've always felt that way. Keep up the good work you and your team are bring so many people closer to Christ.

When Paras draws the circle and Dallas comments how elucidating that was because he never thought of it like that, it demonstrates how the Holy Spirit moves. It’s admirable to see how much respect and empathy Dallas displays to the actors, it fosters a creative environment for the cast. You can visibly see by the look on Paras’ face that his unique interpretation is valued and the same worth is given to each character so beautifully.

Gosh I can’t wait for second season... so great full to have found the chosen.. thank you for bringing Jesus into my life

I'm happy that Dallas picks actors that at least look somewhat Jewish. A important detail many have missed when producing films about Jesus Christ.

The fact that Mathew is prortrayed as on the spectrum is great 👍. As a man with aspergers myself it could have been a disaster 🙄 😳......but brilliant acting, writing, directing etc pulled it off wonderfully. Love it. As e a Poe wrote "I have not seen as others saw....". But the Lord SAW Mathew.

I've always had a passion for acting but never wanted anything to do with Hollywood. This is a show that I would be honored and privileged to be a part of. Having been born in Jerusalem and living there for the first eight years of my life makes watching this even more special (even though I know you guys are nowhere near Israel). If you ever end up filming in Canada, hit me up! haha

This honestly made my Autism Awareness month! We have a son that lives with Autism He is completely nonverbal and fit for the Kingdom. Matthews words and Phillips words were so meaningful about not fitting into this world. We weren't meant to fit in we were meant to shine! The whole episode could be called I SEE YOU! Both Matthew and Nathaniel and all od us want to be seen and in the end we are to the only one we should care about seeing us.

Mateus, is my favorite character in the series, the difficulty of interacting with a strange kind and sincere way of showing himself, in certain things I think that identify me. selling in 2022. here in Brazil.

The Chosen will be a part of the last days harvest of souls. Tens of millions of people are going to come to Christ worldwide in the next 50 years. The Chosen will not be the only reason for that, but it will be part of the effort. I believe that God has ordained it.

I’ve made it a point to keep you covered in prayer as you move forward w this wonderful series. May God richly bless you and help clear your way of every obstacle. May you feel his presence and enjoy the experience of drawing closer to him in all things.

Hey Dallas. I have Aspergers Syndrome and I can only speak for myself but I am not anxious all the time like the portrayal of Matthew seems to be in season one. I definitely understand why but can we see him relax and making a joke every once in a while please? One last thing. Thank you to everyone involved in making the show. It is really refreshing to finally see something on TV again that isn't about The Devil, demons, vampires, killing people and other unfortunately popular things in entertainment media lately.

This made me cry understanding being always on the outside looking in.

We have our season 1 DVD copy and are eagerly awaiting season 2! So looking forward to it!

This is one of my favorite scenes in Season 2 because I can completely relate to it. It's me all over. I even am adapting this for my D&D character, when the right time arrives, to illustrate how he feels about his relations with the human world (he's a 7-foot-tall 800 lb living construct who is as of now the only functional member of his kind in the land and he feels envious of how "YOU ALL CAN MAKE MORE LITTLE HUMANS--I CAN'T DO THAT."). Matthew is one of my favorite disciples in this series for it. Keep up the good work!

Matthew aka Levi, my favorite disciple. He was the richest, most educated but most hated of all disciples because of his work as a tax collector. He was insulted, debased, trampled on by some of his fellow disciples but took it all in stride. He had the know how to write the best, most descriptive and loved gospel of Jesus. He was an outcast, hated, highly intelligent, etc. You guys helped me build a bigger connection to Bible in the Bible as well :) Jesus is still my favorite, Jesus will always be my favorite, and the love of my life!

Paras-Whether instinctive or planned, your depiction of when those "outside the circle" crack the door open a bit and attempt to let others understand their world was powerful yet fragile and pristine. Drawing the circle in the air would have been too open, too vulnerable. But down in the dirt, pain was loosed, the force of being different was expressed kinetically, and the illustration was achingly clear and left for the other to absorb. Beautifully done.
