Modern big laptops are not as big as they used to be. Love having a big display and better cooling. The 16" makes more sense to me.

I haven't owned a personal laptop for a long time. Got the G14 4070 so i could put it in my backpack if it wanted. It's not replacing my desktop for gaming. Ultimate factor was cost, you can get a G14 plus a separate 4080 Super for the cost of a G16.

16" makes a huge difference when you need to add a monitor to properly look 30-40 lines of code along with terminal window after buying 14" Anything you do which require reading lines or screen space go for 16"

Do both laptops offer the same performance, it's safe to assume that the larger laptop will offer more wattage to the gpu as well as provide better cooling which highly affects performance.

Hey guys! I want to buy a laptop but can not decide which one exactly? First one is Asus zenbook with rtx graphic card the other one is 14 inch intel processor Asus rog Zepyhrus. I know rog zepyhrus is a gaming laptop but still have a questions about battery life of it after optimization. Do you recommend to buy it or buying zenbook with higher parameters worth ? I really like last years Yoga Slim 7 7840S, but I can't really find a similar 16 inch alternative. Any tips? I'm a software dev so display, keyboard, build, battery, touchpad etc, it all has to be good for long sessions, also on the go, in my lap etc. The G16 here with 32GB and 4070 is a letdown because for 2600 it comes with IPS instead of OLED. Such a shame.

I think the laptops are nice but feel the price is not worth it as the CPUs even the Ultra Core 185 are way slower than last year's i9 ones. Is it correct according to several sources online? the 16" screen sized laptops are not that big these days, they evolved a lot.. I think the real deal breaker is the ram size specially that it is not upgradable.

Here in the EU, all models come with 32 gb ram. Which you would expect considering the G16 RTX 4070 goes for as high as 3k euros lmfao. Definitely overpriced but I'm still seriously considering it or maybe I'll wait for a year end sale if I'm patient enough but by then I''ll already be thinking about wanting to wait for what they will have in store for us at CES 2025 😭

I have both. The G16 fan never goes off and always runs hotter. Definitely worth noting. The G14 has louder speakers (I know, makes no sense) and has brighter keyboard lighting. If you don’t care about the bigger screen and want ultimate portability, go G14. I’m leaning towards the G16 because I’m a sucker for the bigger screen and 240hz, but the fan noise is tough.

The laptops are beautiful, which kill me for it but the first thing I look for when I purchase a laptop is how they look. I’m just upset with the price tag and you can’t even upgrade the ram.. also the keyboards are horrendous.

I just got the G14. The 2024 model. That thing is light and powerful. The speakers sounds like the 14" MacBook Pro and the screen is so nice. It chews through videos when working on it. The MacBook Pro M3 Pro is the only thing that beats it for video editing.

got my 4060/ ryzen 9 7940 hs g14 for $800. 165hz 2560 x 1600/ ddr5 16gb ram. desktop also running 4060/ i7-13700f 32gb ram so was really going for something that could keep up.. no dissapointments other than maybe the temps getting pretty high

Great review as always! i got the zenbook duo 2024 120hz oled, ultra 7 155H & 16gb ram few days ago.. in the MyAsus system app i put 8gb allocation to the arc GPU & the fan speed option to performance mode with the AC power and was able to play all games on high setting with few tweaks in graphics setting of the games which i couldn't believe a laptop without RTX can even do lol

the wobble is too dangerous. I imagine even students with their resilient eyesight on not so sturdy smaller desks and just lapdesks and all that r gonna get annoyed by it. This is so frustrating at this point I'm back to looking at last year....not that canadians r able to buy anything from this year anyways -_-. Where are the other laptops they got to exist!!!!!
