#MattiesKitchen, in this video Mattie will be making the "Best Southern Fried Catfish." Fried Catfish is one of the most popular meals in the South. Although it can be prepared in a variety of ways, frying it in a cornmeal is the most traditional. Despite many recipes for fried catfish, plain cornmeal is one of my favorites. Pair this catfish with some hush puppies and coleslaw and enjoy the "Best Southern Catfish" you ever tasted. So sit back and relax as you enjoy this cooking show from start to finish! I wish you would have said how hot your oil was! What setting was the burner on? I'm not an experienced cook so I need to know those things! But thanks for the video. Everything else was a help but I'll have to ask someone else how hot to make my oil.

yeah you definitely have to be careful, for new cooks I would say yes but for me I've been cooking so long I guess I never thought of that or even scared that would happen.

The goal in frying catfish is to have an even batter/outer crust. When the catfish is served it should look perfect! It should not be served without blemishes. Sorry to say it but your catfish, as a finished product, has blemishes. Pay attention to that the next time, otherwise it looks delicious!

Hello sis. It’s only obvious you’re a southern cook but when you constantly say you don’t like this and that, it doesn’t sound good. Your audience is not interested in what you don’t like-just cook.
