Wow! I had the same experience after an Apollo-style mission to Duna. My two-stage lander didn't have enough Delta-V, and Bob Kerman was in the cockpit of the mothership. And I thought THAT situation was intense.

its kind of funny how he landed the center booster on the falcon heavy replica but didn't land the side boosters, while on the real thing, only the side boosters ended up landing.

You could try to use smaller payloads so you don’t have to bring a lander and an arriving capsule, I personally use large landers and fuel efficient engines for upper stages like a rhino engine or vectors

I think a "apollo" mission to eeloo would be a "ollopa" mission: the mun is the closest body from kerbin, eeloo is the oposite

For that sas problem try pressing alt + x because it could be caused by trim tool which is alt then movement input just in case you did not know 👍

i just did my first apollo style landing yesterday, only problem was I couldnt get the lander back into orbit so I just had Neil and Buzz Kerman use EVA packs to get into orbit and had them rendezvous with Michael Kerman in the command pod and got em home. have i confessed my love for alt+f12 yet?

can you do sometimes later in the blunderbirds a ITS style ITS like (main rocket launches and a docking port on side then the 2th rocket launches who is the tanker and the tanker will fly up dock with main ship and then leave and then deorbit itself and then the main ship flys to whoever?)

this video made me think: you're entering at 5 km/s, why would you eject the transfer stage? it could act as extra heat shield! (without the transfer stage, my first jool mission would have ended in disaster)
