A day later I got a random friend request from a guy that platinumed this game and kept inviting me to play its multiplayer. I thought I summoned some kind of PSN dark spirit or something by playing it.

The funny thing is Dick Marcinko's unit Red Cell and backstory were undoubtedly the inspiration for Dead Cell in the Metal Gear series. They were a SEAL team whose job it was to test military security, and according to Dick, they did their jobs too well and embarassed the higher ups. So Dick was accused of misappropriating government funds in retaliation. Game is still garbo though.

Holy shit I could go on for hours about this fucking game. I first saw it on sale at my EB Games in 2009 during the Christmas rush with some friends when it was selling for 69.99 CAD. Months later it dropped to 5 dollars when people realized you could bum-rush the game in an hour and a half. It had a shitty development too. Zombie Studios worked and toiled for years on this but despite all their best efforts trying to bring about an open-world squad based shooter with ambitious Squad-based AI(Ironic considering how those fast those two chucklefucks at the beginning, your intended all-game squad mates in the original build, bit the bullet) and expansive Multiplayer goals, Bethesda erased all their work as they weren't satisfied with the direction it was taking so they straight up *commission* Rebellion to use their in-house Sniper Elite engine and left-over assets to cook up the current build of Rogue warrior in less then a year. Yet despite having even more dev time then Raven Software had to make the current build of Singularity this one turned out to be a total shitshow and Bethesda just shrugged and said "Good enough, ship it!" And worst thing of all is, Dick Marcinko deserved SO MUCH BETTER. We're talking about a guy who loved his country so fucking much he would sneak into military bases and highly-classified installations during bouts of R&R just to show how shit their protocols and security were! "Any Commie could have snuck in here and done god knows what!" He would snap when he would intentionally let himself get caught. He was a bonafide Arnold Schwarzenegger character and look at the fucking shit game he got!

I have no idea where you are getting the idea that this game looks good for Xbox 360. It looks really, really bad by any standard. The art design is garbage! The character models look alright if devoid of character, but the environments are blocky as shit, the flora clips into itself and everything else, and the weapons do not look like themselves.

Actually Matt, I got that far. I beat the whole game when it came out. I would NOT recommend it.
