Final Bout was a big part of my childhood! Damn that game was ass but we didn't have much else in terms of Dragon Ball at that time XD

It truly is a shame we never got a sequel. This was one of the first games I ever played and I had to get it on Game Pass for all the childhood memories

There's probably a record out there for the game with the shortest availability, and The Day Before just _shattered_ that record. The only game I think ever came close was Afro Samurai 2.

I squat in Hoyoverse games these days, but I can't imagine these coattail-riding corpos who want to establish live-service games have the will to make a _platform_ for that kind of service at the expense of standalone releases which I would expect would fragment such games' playerbases. Like, remember how many Call of Duty titles have existed simultaneously, each with their own multiplayer modes with separate progressions? How do you keep up that install base for a "live service" when the next release upends the prior customer investment?

i disagree... while GT is definitely bad, Ultimate Battle 22 is far worse

I was insanely hyped for this game from articles in gaming magazines (all we had back then).. I ordered it at a Babbages in a mall an hour away. I tried to make myself like it but the controls were awful. Actually I loved the music and the best thing about it was getting introduced to White Zombie and Kull

I played this game a lot when it first came out and I had fun playing it. I liked playing as Wolverine and Nightcrawler. Iceman I was pretty disappointed however with his gameplay. Wasn’t a fan of him just sliding around, thought we could play him in the air and ground. Oddly enough, this was the game that encouraged me to play more games on harder difficulties since all mutations you earned by playing hard.

Oh yeah, by the way, that is freaking Jim Cummings as the voice of Sarge. (If you don't know who he is, rest assured you had no childhood with anything Disney or classic 90s American animation in it.)

I couldn’t even get the rest of the criticism of this game because some reviewer ruined it for me by pointing out the 6 in the title looked like Toys R Us’ Geoffrey the Giraffe getting a “how you doin” from a lady companion.

In hindsight, if they were dead set on canning Code Holders, they could've heavily tweaked or repurposed that game into a new Final Fight project. *Final Fight: Code Death* That would've been a super cool console release.

1:04 the music from Persona 5 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾 And a Dino Crisis game in the current RE engine would be amazing. Hopefully the new Jurassic Park game shows them what there missing

Believe it or not but Star Wars:Masters of Teras Kasi was the first game I purchased when I got my own Playstation. Reason being I wanted a fighting game to play on it and the game was the only one there to purchase so, well, you know. Tbh, I'm not even a big SW fan but I got it anyhow. At any rate, I agree. It is a 💩💩y game but it, by far, isn't the worst fighting game ever.

They should have a new game + where you can play as all the characters, including foot soldiers and other robots. And can you play with infinite lives? They should let you play a mode where all the enemies are switched with TMNT 1 badguys. jk

Actually what the guy said was actually true..I personally dont like horror games and thats why I didnt like resident evil 4 type games..I started the resident evil series with Operation raccon city..probably thats why I didnt like other resident evils where there werent any zombies..But I loved re2 and re3 remake. But honestly speaking..I loved re6. FREE PALESTINE

DBZ Ultimate Battle 22 is the worst

As someone who enjoyed playing the first two games, Earthworm Jim 3D was a big disappointment for me.

The game got me into the novel, and although the novel is superior I think a dude trying to get into literature may find this an acceptable way to get interested and then read it.

Dude! I love thos game. It's jank, but I had so much fun playing it back in the day.

What i love in this video, is that half of the time the background music is from the Great OMF One Must Fall 2097 PC Game, a fantastic Robot Fighting game, that Rise of the Robots tried to copy in just the worst way possible. Well Done Matt

I gave up on a proper MvC sequel forever ago but I still cling onto a childish dream that we could get a Versus collection with rollback on Steam and elsewhere akin to the Capcom Fighting Collection. Disney owns X-Men and other IPs now so they could essentially put it on Capcom to port and apply rollback netcode to these games, and sit around to take a cut of revenue for doing basically nothing with no expenditures from their end. It makes all the sense every which way on the surface since a Versus collection ported and cut together that way would be a winner for little development costs, but it's Disney so I also realize that they'll never do it even if it makes sense.

I'm not gonna say this game is responsible for Rooster Teeth going out of business, but considering the game's launch completely tanking lines up with a month later RT getting closed and both gaming and streaming were in the same division of the company... its not hard to believe.

And here we are. Still nothing on a sequel.

I'm not gonna lie, the design aesthetic looks really f*king cool, oldschool fantasy with ps1 graphics is the stuff I would have loved as a kid. It is truly sad and tragic how it turned out in the end, if only they gave the developers more resources we could have had a solid legacy of d&d fighting games 😔💔

Me and my friends got a copy of this game on release because I got a game mag CD with the intro on it and we went ballistic over it. I still think it's one of the best intros of all time - keep in mind it was the original JP intro with the Kageyama song And then it was one of the worst games we've all ever played. Fortunately it became super rare and in demand for some reason so we were able to offload it easily

I remember actually enjoying Street Fighter 3 (as well as 2nd Impact and later on Third Strike) at an arcade (now defunct) at West Edmonton Mall called "Circuit Circus". Really miss that arcade, plenty of good memories.

3:25 Any DBZ obsessed kid in the late 90s was likely VERY well acquainted with cell, buu and GT characters bc of all the DB fan sites that were rampant on the internet and they all had entire plot synopsis's along with made up PL charts for every saga. Man, finding a site with a 120p fuzzy ass mpeg of gohan going ssj2 was like finding a diamond. Before we knew better, GT had a mythical air about it to all of us. The notion of this ssj4 thing was wild.

[Although Tattoo Assassins was not officially released, it deserves to be included in this series. It is definitely a contender for The Worst Fighting Game.]

I find it amusing that the production team cast a younger actor as Garrett because they wanted him to look naturally athletic...because nothing is as natural as strapping dozens of sensors onto a person's body and running their motion through a compiler while they run around in a completely artificial environment.

I remember this game. Yes, it was ... not good. But at least our country got the japanese audio and didn't even bother with a dub.

Does anyone have a Disc Read error on this game even though the disc looks perfect? It's a blue faced disc.

I love this game, I even replayed it recently.... Never imagined it could have been so much more. Hopefully, one day we get another good Predator Game.
