Great video however the open plan kitchen is becoming unnecessarily popular. It does add to the living space but for 3k a month that’s a waste of money. But again it’s London, expected.

My mortgage, on a 3 bed detached property 35 minutes by train to central London costs £1750 p/m. London is a complete ripoff

The benefits of London are historical, social, culturual, and generally one of the greatest cosmopolitan cities ever. But sure, why not live in Blackpool if you want to save money?

It's like me going to America or another country or city and declaring "I absolutely love it" That doesn't make the fact that people who live there may say its overrated.

This area used to be a joke back in the day. But for everyone confused on the London property market, part of the problem was revealed in that Pandora Papers leak. Although, it wasn't anything we did not know already. Poor Londoners have to compete with the worlds dirty money. Our government would never intervene though as they're paid by the same people!

Work a pretty good Software Eng job. I earn 3K after Tax. Clearly not enough to even afford the rent let alone 2-3 hundred for bills. Who the hell is paying these prices???

@@4ickyy 3k after tax, -300 bills, -700 living costs. That's 2k to spend on your 1.7k rent or 1.25k rent if you find a housemate

I work a pretty good Software Eng job. I earn 3K after Tax. Clearly not enough to even afford the rent. Who the hell is paying these prices???

@@4ickyy For a software engineer, that's really not a lot; your colleagues at Facebook and Google earn much more than that. With that said, there are lots of professionals in London who earn far more than that... 250K to 500K for some finance jobs, and there's enough of those people for all the nice rentals in Zone 1

Living in London is merely a fashion statement. Id rather put £3110 per month into a mortgage further north with natural hilly views but each to their own I guess.

Both pool and snooker has 6 holes! 😆 Snooker has a much larger table, with a set of 22 coloured balls (brown/green/pink etc) which you pot in a particular order. Pool has 15 balls, usually 7 red, 7 yellow and a black or 14 colourful balls which have spots and stripes on and a black.

London prices but the property looks a bit small and second you could probably get a mortgage for a property just outside London for that amount.

@@Flo-lp6eg No you’re right. But an average salary in London is below the price of this flat which is depressing, whereas an average salary in Athens is around 800-1000 euros

Waste of money, even if you're rolling in cash. Personally, if I have that much money I would NEVER rent, I would invest in developing my own property portfolio.

It’s not uncommon for rich people to rent. I would personally buy properties just to rent out. I don’t see the point in putting a massive down payment on a property just to live in it when you could put that money elsewhere and use that to pay for your rent. I’d much rather invest £50k in the stock market or crypto and use my returns to rent a place while pocketing the change. Of course buying to rent out for cash flow is a different story. I’d totally do that. But I respect your opinion.

@@fatmanjr7215 You just said exactly what I said. I wouldn't rent, I would rather invest in property, than rent property ESPECIALLY at this price. And yes its not uncommon for rich people to rent, seeing as some of them have more money to burn than sense. And the ones that do, rent these overpriced properties for tax purposes etc.

@@misterzee5736 It sure can. Many tax loop holes aka "cheat codes" and strategies wealthy people can exploit to get tax deductions. In this situation, say I have to shoot a fashion collection, and need to "put up models for x amount of time" I would rent a property, through my "business" and claim that as a "business expense"

Like, the living room is massive, and there are so many communal areas. I visualised myself sitting in the communal area today. It felt so good. I have been running my business now, for 1 1/2 years. I went to E&C a few weeks ago. A huge turn around from the shithole it was 3-4 years ago. A very preppy area now that looks lovely to live in, but I can't get "£3100 to live in Elephant and Castle" out of my head. Crazy. Maybe Peckham Rye will be next?

Intresting building. As long as you stay in the block . Going outside and around the elephant and castle, just be careful, that's all iam saying. Who ever wants to live there , a much better person than me . Almost £2000 to rent a one bed and almost £4000 . Some people most have more money than sense 🙊🙊😱🤔🚔🚔

"Elephant Park" became zone 1 when the development company paid for it to be zone 1!! Elephant Park....aka Elephant and castle is a sh*t hole and you'll have to fight a crack head to get out of your door each morning!! Those flats are also poorly built...if your neighbor sneezes you can all but feel the droplets! Don't be fooled!
