That last bit isn't always the case, but it is a lot of the time.

Ironically this is not entirely mature. It is more mature than blinding having faith in everyone but it still falls short off maturity. Maturity is knowing what a trustworthy person looks like, and being able to open up to that trust. It takes a mature person to be trustworthy though, and that is sorely lacking in today's world. Even in my own friend group there are snakes that I don't trust in the slightest
