My thoughts on an amazing new cheapie from the house of Mauboussin and its Une Histoire D'Homme Irresistible. I am loving this inexpensive Green, Fig, and Woody Aromatic Fragrance. I have MAUBOUSSIN POUR HOMME and I love it. For me as an European, it's a more polished version of Denim Musk (a heavy green patchouli Italian after shave / edt from the early 80's). I've ordered the fig one after watching your review.

I bought pour homme because you recommended it in another video. I just did a sweaty days work and can still smell it. It grows on you. At first it smelled like a fresh Thai green curry with a dry floral finish. It's very versatile. All year round, a good office smell too. Reminds of pencil shavings

Way to go not leaving any bottles for the rest of us Sebastian. 🤣 I totally called their new release Discovery though. Looked like a an Aventus clone, and the name....Mont Blanc Explorer....yeah. Sighhhhhhhhhh. Everyone's gotta have one. Still looking to try Aequalis. That one might be my pick of the bunch. Appreciate your take on Private Club!

When watching this review, I thought that I might purchase Mauboussin Homme, but then I learned that it's said to be similar to Boucheron Jaipur Pour Homme which I hate (I hate at least the EDP version of Jaipur...), so I decided to not buy it. However, I am interested in trying Mauboussin Une Histoire D'Homme Irresistible, but maybe some other time though. I'm glad to have learned about it though.

I own and love M Generation (with back up bottle,thankfully). I used up my Pour Homme (original formula) ...loved it..and now am seeking another bottle of the original formula !! I really need to get the Irrestible one too !! Not very interested in that newest release...??...

I have that Une Histoire. I bought it coz no one cares to buy it. It was cheap but surprisingly very unique smell and in the same style of Zadig This is Him but getting less popularity.

Bought the five remaining bottles?! How many bottles of one fragrance can one person need or get through? Anyway, thanks for the clip. I'm waiting for my bottle in the mail. Interested to compare the fig leaf note with the ivy I should have in another fragrance I'm expecting. I guess I'm all about the green notes.

My favorite amongst the three seems to be your least favorite. Mauboussin Private Club is such a great warm fragrance. Compliments galore....highly recommend

Translated, the name of the fragrance is "a story of an irresistible man". Histoire means story, in French.

You should try 'Mauboussin Pour Lui In Black' :) It's quite unique smelling, cheap and few people seems to really know about it outside Europe. Good balance between a semi-sweet caramel, very fruity italian mandarin and a woody base etc.

I'm looking for fragrances with a prominent fig (or date) FRUIT or NECTAR note, not necessarily the fig leaf or bark. I have Dior Dune Pour Homme and that's great for what it is, but very very green with no chewy sweet fig fruit. It sounds like the fig fruit in this one might not be prominent enough.

Gucci Pour Homme. The original. I still have a full bottle. Super heavy, but that incense, and the woods. Tom Ford had the ideas already. Wasn't into Pour Homme II.

Given your recommendation blind bought and just got Histoire D'Homme Irresistible from Amazon Germany, for only €25! What a great scent! The smell initially reminded me of something else, maybe one of the Kerosene fragrances, but their tin can has so many samples it would take me a while to find out if one of those is what I'm thinking of. Kept smelling it and also thought it reminded me remotely of L'Occitane Eau des Bavx. Smelling them side by side right now, I find some commonality between them. Although they are different, if anyone told me one is a flanker of the other I would totally believe it. One great scent and great cheapie! Thanks a lot as always, Sebastian! Will try to get the warm fougere one as well.

@@ThePerfumeGuy Yet their bases in the drydown have something quite similar to my nose, their sweetness and spiciness. It kind of brings their profiles quite close to my nose, at least with respect to those lines.

PASS on this! This smells nothing like a fig or fresh fragrance and unless your summertime tops off at 60F , this is not to be worn in temps over that. SGFR is into very booze/heavier fragrances that suit the cooler temps. 👎👎
