I was diagnosed with Bell’s palsy a little over a year ago. To say it messes with your mind is 100% true. The hardest part is just waiting and feeling like you might never get better…then you slowly do. 100% recovered now 😄

Never thought I would look forward to being able to blink, speak and eat properly again. Getting Bell's Palsy is a curse and a blessing at the same time. Makes you grateful for the little things in life like blinking.

I had Bells since I was a baby 👶🏾 my parents told me that the hospital said I was the youngest that they ever seen in 35 yrs old now. What hurts the most is that I look at my childhood pictures and see a half of a smile never experience a full smile or raising of two eyebrows. Now I have children my kids ask dad why you have one eye bigger than the other. It’s mild not noticeable only when I smile and talk a little but pray for me people because I still suffer in my ❤️ that I have bells. Please pray for me in my healing and direction of where to go for assistance and I will pray for you all as well.

two weeks today for me in experiencing pain now sharp pain in back of head behind the ear. swollen a bit but seeing movement by the mouth yay I'm grateful too it's a reality check for real to not take for granted the ability to blink our eye lol it's truly a blessing. devastated at first then the soul searching and we find why this happened. we have to take care of ourselves instead of putting us last. positive thinking and spiritual guidance really goes a long way to healing I think. glad to see your smile is back😋

I am experiencing the same thing, had been one wk and still my face hasnt recovered, the corticosteroids and vitamin b complex would often crunch my stomach and its an inconvenience, after watching this, its inspires me to keep going and he is right, its life changing and makes us refocus our priorities in life and now I think I will have to consider my health as my utmost priority

I’m so happy with him.. I have Bell’s palsy since I was a child.. in the 1970’s is when I got it, they found that their was a correlation between the polio vaccine and facial paralysis and nerve damage.. I am also deaf in my left ear .. it’s so hard been made fun of my whole life about it but it shows their ignorance and immaturity .. God bless and thank you for shedding light to Bell’s palsy

Just diagnosed with Bell's a little over a week ago at the end of a work trip to Germany...very scary...ALL of this is spot-on and very helpful. There are many facets to this...but I very much appreciate this piece, helped give me hope as I start the healing process after having finished up the steriods and soon starting acupuncture....thanks and best of luck Maurice!

I had Bell's palsy and it will scare mess out of you. I immediately went to the ER because you believe it's a stroke. When the doctor entered the room he said it was Bell palsy. One important fact that I would to share is I remember my mother having the same symptoms as Bell's palsy. If you had Bell's palsy, please share this information with your children.

I'm recovering from Bells palsy and I can so relate to your experience. So glad that you have recovered. I still have a few "odds and ends" in my face that needs fixing. No doubt it's a traumatic experience.

I received a diagnosis of Bell's Palsy five days ago, an experience that has heightened my appreciation for life and love. As someone who values positivity, I am beginning to recognize the significance of more than just outward appearances. Moving forward is essential. During my initial visit to the emergency room, while restocking my area, I encountered exemplary care from nurses Faith, Miranda, and Brittany, whose prompt action and compassion I deeply appreciate.

** I truly hope someone can read this & gain hope** but you WILL BE OKAY. I remember when I first got it.. I was super down and scared. But I knew eventually it would go away. Staying positive is the first step. I first got it December 13th 2022. Now it’s Jan 5th and I’m about 90% healed. Take your medication, take your b12, run hot water on your face (every single) shower, do face exercises, massage your face & stay positive. That’s what I did. Don’t just sit around and let it run it’s course. Doing those little things HELP TREMENDOUSLY.. If you want it gone sooner than later then you have to go above & beyond. I even got acupunctures done. You’ll be okay I promise. Hopefully this helps someone 💛 you’re beautiful!
