Maverick R testing EVO transmission tune. How to launch control

In this video I take the Mav R to Oceano Dunes and run the new EVO trans tune and launch control on 91 and E85. I also show you how to do set up and use launch control.

Really good video Dean. The helmet audio was excellent. Definitely could tell a difference with the E85 launch.

Thanks! I was worried about how the audio would come out. I did do a voice enhancer during edit and it worked out pretty good.

G'Day mate let me tell you I really love your videos, they are great learner curves about utv's. I do have a 2019 X3 xrs and wanted to upgrade my clutching to 91 octane tune from KMS but I don't seem to be able to get in touch with them. Are you able to tell me whether they are still in operation, or where I can buy similar product. Thank you in advance.

Thanks for watching! KMS did have a great formula for the 91 tune on X3's. Unfortunately they shut down a couple of years ago.

So the new evp fuel pump works both on E85 as well as the regular gas? All you need to do is to flash it with the code shooter and you good to go?

Yes. With the new fuel pump you will get new tunes all labeled "rising rate" for the new rising rate fuel pump

Off topic how much better is the E85 over the 110 tune I just ordered my 110 with a muffler did you notice much different with the exhaust

E85 is noticeably more powerful than 110. I felt with the exhaust it was more snappy

yes, 10". I like it a lot. It will navigate and give you directions offroad. Most others you must map out and save your route ahead of time. This you can do both

@@JustSamples I hear ya. The Garmin is super simple. I'm amazed how it gives turn by turn directions while off-road. It's a bit off sometimes as the trail doesn't always follow the map exactly, but it's pretty darn good.

Through my transmission tune on a week ago and haven’t noticed any difference whatsoever from it. The most disappointing mod I’ve ever done on anything. I don’t dune. So seems as if unless all you do is dune it’s completely pointless.

I think you're partially right. You're not going to notice much unless you are really in it except for maybe some higher shift points. But when you are really in the throttle the trans tune really makes this thing come alive!
