I love the idea of laughing that you had been scared of “only a bear” as if 3 men with rifles shouldn’t still be afraid of a bear
@tormfury7376

This is Northern Europe. We have brown bears, yes, but they're nothing like the kodiaks and grizzlies of NA. I used to literally see bears on a daily basis when planting trees as a kid. You could have a momma bear with 1-3 cubs, all of em getting on 2 feet and staring at you for a while, to then move along. I have a bear visiting both mine and a neighbours fruit gardens every autumn, and all I gotta do is yell at the big oaf for it to scram. Had one fall down an apple tree, taking like half the branches with it once. The bears here, as you might have gathered, while curious and opportunistic, are mostly vary of humans for a good reason. Should 3 men with rifles be afraid of a bear? I'll just say we usually reach our bear hunting quotas early, and I have bear meat every now and then - so I would think both the bears, and the men with rifles have it well figured out who ought to be afraid of whom. I'd be more worried about a passel or a sounder of boars charging me, than a singular European brown bear.

@aidonwelsh8968 Yes, if all 4 men were rocking 25 round 22lr mags and coordinated a mag dump, I'm sure the bear would fuck right off. Black and brown bears require pretty precise shot placement to drop even with high calibers. I'm not saying it can't be done. Im saying it SHOULDN'T be done.

The most fascinating thing about these missing persons cases is that even the most outlandish theories are closer to explain the situation than whatever the official government explanations claim to cover up whatever is going on.

Tbh, government 'explainations' about anything are never the truth. I think if people had any idea of just how dark this world is, they would probably melt down into a full blown panic. Except that people flat out refuse the truth for stories and theories. Maybe it's somehow easier to believe in aliens than to believe in a spiritual dimension. Believing in demons means believing in angels - which means GOD and Satan are real, Heaven and Hell are real - which means people would have to acknowledge that they have a decision to make for themselves. No, it's much easier if it's monsters and aliens because that leaves us with nothing to do but tell stories. No reason to be accountable for a thing then. It boggles my mind how people will flat out refuse to ackowlege GOD, but will quickly latch on to stories. I'm not denying that alot of mysteries exist. But I think people's guesses are no closer to the truth than government explanations.

@@aprilgarcia6119 Sorry this is so long.. You do realize that acknowledging GOD and having faith means you’re latching onto the story of GOD, right?? All while you’re condemning ppl for latching onto stories.. Honestly, it’s priceless irony. 🤣 Go head and believe in GOD, that’s your right. Just like believing other stories is everyone’s right as well. Not to mention over time there’s been 4,000+ religions and currently there are 12, mainstream so to speak, religions out there. All of which contradict each other in many ways. Even different denominations of the same root religions contradict each other. Yet all of you, regardless of whatever religion you have faith in, you all seem to believe that you’re religion is the correct religion and the rest are all blasphemy. But based on mathematical probability alone it’s far more likely that none of the religions are real. Lol There’s a far better chance of these stories and mysteries, as you put it, being real than there is for any religion to be cuz there’s far more evidence involved in these stories and not a single confirmed thread of actual evidence that any religion is real. I also don’t think we’d panic in this country if the cat got outta the bag about how dark the world is. In the US, if we found that out for certain, it would spark a revolution cuz we would then know what’s going on and feel strongly compelled to put a stop to it. Which our armed citizenry is fully capable of. At least domestically at first but then abroad some time down the road. Some ppl would panic but not enough that it would hinder us from overcoming that shit. And finally, the govt gives these bullshit explanations bcuz they don’t want ppl to know that they’re clueless about anything. They choose to feign knowledge in order to retain control so they don’t cast doubt on themselves cuz once the questioning starts their whole plot unravels.
@aprilgarcia6119
@aprilgarcia6119 Жыл бұрын
@@jimmynovak7913 Actually, I didn't mention religion once. And my point is not to make people out to be delusional liars, but to open their minds to the possibility that all those mysteries and entities are tied in with the spiritual realm - the very one spoke of in The Bible. When you consider how these entities(Bigfoot included) have been witnessed for decades, yet we are nowhere closer to knowing even the slightest information about where they live, how they survive or how a creature so large manages to elude capture or death.. to me, it seems quite plausible that they are not so much flesh and bone creatures, as they are 'entities' So, when I speak of 'stories', I'm referring to the 'explainations' for what they are and why they exist - not that they exist at all. Still, you are right that I am biased in my beliefs. However, what I said in my comment didn't judge or berate anyone for what they believe. I simply gave my thought's as to why I think people choose to believe one thing over another.

I'm Finnish, it's pretty cool to hear a case from my country. I think I remember hearing about this when it happened, but I could be misremembering since I was pretty young back then. I looked through some old articles in Finnish to see if there was more information. Apparently the body showed no signs that he was a victim of a crime, or that he had been attacked by an animal. However, an autopsy could not determine the cause of his death. One source claims that during his phone call he mentioned that he was being followed by a dog, and seemed to be scared, but no dogs were out at the time in that area. If it had been a large predator, the local farm animals would have freaked out, but that didn't happen. Also, apparently the guy had arranged transport to his group of berry pickers and was supposed to be picked up later that day from the intersection he was last seen at. It's unknown why he would wander into the forest if he was supposed to meet up with his group later. If he had fled in a panic there would have most likely been some signs of it, but the scene was almost entirely untouched. (Please keep in mind that I cannot confirm any of this, I just got it from a news article.) People are speculating that the police could be covering something up, but that's usually the case with any mystery, lol. As someone pointed out, the military base you mentioned is too far from the scene to be the one in the story. I tried to see if I could find mention of an abandoned military facility in the area, but found nothing. One could still exist though, there's not a lot of information out there on this stuff. Anyway, this was a really cool video! It was the first one I watched from you, and I'll definitely watch more!

I remember this case! I have family living in Salla and I was visiting them a little after the body was found. My brother picked me up from the train station some 200km away and I remember we were driving from around near the place were the berry picker disappeared. I think that's what prompted my brother to share with me that the disappearance had been the talk of town for some time, and he told me that the berry picker, being Thai and not being familiar with the vast wilderness, had gotten lost. He'd been lost for some time and survived on berries, and his demise, according to my brother, had ultimately been eating the wrong kind. Had he been Finnish he would've recognised which berries are edible and which aren't, as all finns do, but alas, he unfortunately didn't.

One thing I want to point out about the “Missing 411” cases is that a common thing about these missing people is that some go missing when they’re in fact out picking berries in certain areas like near a certain type of stone like for example like stone, etc.

That whole 411 thing is a grift. Paulides leaves out a lot of facts and even snippets from old articles that don't align with the story he is trying to sell. @@MoiraWillenov Paulides lied about a number of things regarding the case of Dennis Martin Jr and other cases as well. He has intentionally lied about his “facts”. Starting with how federal agents were trailing him when he first started the Missing 411 books, he lied about a park ranger being assaulted by a man in bear clothes in 1968, he lied about what the Key family saw when Dennis Martin disappeared that day. They saw a Caucasian man dressed in dirty work clothes running to a white Ford pickup van..not a man covered in fur and no… he wasn’t carrying anything over his shoulder. He fabricated the story of the special forces and carrying weapons into the park as well as not speaking to any of the park officials. He fabricated the incident of Stacey Arrias and the camera cover that was NOT FOUND. There’s another book called “Forever Missing”. I sat with the author in NYC over coffee. He challenged Paulides to why information that was falsified were in his books. He also reached out to Coast to Coast radio to speak to George Noory but has never been invited to the show. I even reached out to Paulides and he refuses to answer my questions. Are there things going on in the park? Yes. It’s been for awhile. Pot farming, gin mills, mushroom growing, homeless people, Ginseng growing. Illegal operations that now are being investigated and quietly removed. Paulides knows this too.

Yes I'm from Poland, we know Leszy well, u can ask whatever. But he looks different from which was described in history. He's often showed with gigantic deer antlers, often his head is just some animal skull with dead eyes and his body is some mix of meat and roots and other growings - he's a spirit of the forest, the highest one, the guardian. He just doesn't fit for me to description of some slittering like lizard.

I could find a little bit more information about his disappearance in finnish, for example one news article said that on the phone call he made before going missing he had said that he was afraid because he thought a dog was following him. Police said it did not appear he was attacked by an animal but that they’ll know for sure after an autopsy but that’s where all the news articles end cant find any that tell what they found in the autopsy...it doesn’t seem like they ever revealed what happened. Very mysterious and strange case at least according to the information they’ve released. I suppose he could’ve just had a medical emergency or gotten lost and succumbed to the elements and they’re not revealing it out of respect for the family. Or maybe...

i recently learned of the russian batalion story from Wartime stories channel. This story is related (as far as i'm aware) to the Vottavaara mountain, located almost on the other side of Finland. According to the story, this is a sacred place to the natives, and during the winter war, russians wanted to make an outpost there. Locals warned them to not do it, but they didn't listen and got mutilated by something atop the mountain. After the winter war, the territory was ceased by soviets, and now the mountain is in Karelia, russia. Gotta say it`s a unique place judging from photos of twisted dead trees, beautiful lakes and huge boulders on top of small stones.

Ok there are A LOT of holes in this story. None of this is to insult Maverick as I love his vids, its meant for the 4chan OP. 1) You are NOT just going to be able to acquire a 308. caliber weapon in Northern Europe just like that. You cannot just go to store and say "hello not eastern Europe government, I would like a firearm capable of killing a Grizzley bear." You MIGHT be able to if you jump through months worth of hoops, join a sporting arms club, keep up with your yearly certifications, pay your fees, and spend time at the range so that a police officers will certify you, but you also need a reason to have a big-game capable firearm and "hunting mythical lizard men" will not get you in. I am assuming you are in Scandinavia as this is really the only place where someone would assume it was a 7 foot bear as the rest of Europe has bitch ass bears. Also, "Butler Creek Mag"...Buddy you aren''t getting a mag weapon in Northern Europe, especially one that's above 6 shots and not bolt actions. Jesus that was the give away. "I emptied my mag", put down the videogame controller. 2) German Tourists are all over and its interesting that OP did not mention a language barrier. Though this can be explained by a large number of western Europeans speaking fluent English, the fact that he specified German makes me believe OP is not in fact German. This again leading me to believe that this story takes place in Scandinavia. However, if this does take place in Germany, your weak ass car is defiantly not fast enough to break speed laws on German Highways. No speed limit areas are all over the country and I went 210km/h and still had a guy in a Mercedes hooking at me to move over. Get real. 3) Pipe Bombs...are you serious? This is why I think this story was written by a 19 year old Canadian or American (I am Canadian FYI) as this is how those weird gun nut kids talk. Homie in Northern Europe you cannot just buy combustible materials like this. You can maybe get shells (if you have the hardcore license requirements) and drain the powder but you don't have enough for all those pipe bombs. If you buy the materials you will be put on a list and, depending on country, you can buy enough of a amount without giving your ID and reasoning. For example, I cannot buy lye in Canada past a drain fixing amount without giving my ID as its used to dissolve bodies. You don't just roll up to stores and buy this stuff in Europe and you CANNOT just make and transport pipe bombs without someone taking notice. 4) The most unbelievable part of this story is that there is no animal on earth that just chills when being shot at. Polar bears, Elephants, Crocodiles, Tigers, etc. Any real apex predator on earth runs forward, or far more often, away when guns start going off. This thing chills while being shot at and then falls and slithers. Too many horror movies man. The basic structure of a humanoid creature with fur would mean you can't slither on the ground. Ever seen a snake with fur? Snail? Anything that slithers? No? Yeah cause that's stupid and would make slithering impossible if your fur was getting caught on branches and shit. 5) Ran ten km with full gear through the woods at night....NO YOU DIDN'T. First, 10km is hard enough, even when scared. Second, you can't run 10km with a full pack of gear unless you are a Nepalese Gerka for god sakes. All these guys are apperantly Olympic level Ironmen. Third, and most obviously, you can't run through forests at night without getting seriously hurt. Even with a whole group of guys with flashlights, forests ground sucks, everybody will be tripping and falling and rolling ankles for the maybe 500 meters before you body gives up. Navy goddamn SEALs who ruck through the forest can maybe cover 10km (as the crow flies) through dense forest in half to one full day. Your group must be superhuman. 6)"Some germen tourists" grilling sausage by their RV. His shift was 1-3, lets assume its summer and the sun comes up early, call it 5am. So this means either him and his buddies ran 10+kms in the forest through the dark in 4 hours. and at the very crack of dawn two RV tourists were like "hey 5am sausages?" OR him and his buddies left from 0100-0300 and hiked through a pitch black forest for 4-6 hours for a more realistic wake up time and then ran into the tourists. This of course all happening after supposedly a 10km sprint with 15-30kg of equipment. So he is either claiming that he and his friends are capable of rucking 10km (as the crow flies) in 2-4 hours with 15-30kg of equipment, or that they sprinted 10km and continued to hike for up to six hours after words before meeting the tourists. This is all listening to the first half of the video. I am sorry if theres an ending like "Ohhh my god look at this evidence" but the first 9 minutes are straight up impossible.

oh that Thai berry picker happened in Finland. that narrows it down then. I found the article. a 38yo thai berry picker went missing in salla 26th of july,. three weeks later a group of conscripts found the body mere 3 kilometers from the place where the berry picker had last been seen. when autopsy was carried out the reason of death was no clear, but they did not suspect there had been a crime. if you ask me I think it was hypothermia. despite july being the warmest month of the year, nights can still get pretty cold so if he were to lay down he would surely die. but I do find it strange how close he died. 3 kilometers is nothing, he died a less than hours walking distance from where he had last been seen.

I don’t know about Finland, but here in Sweden there’s a popular urban legend called “The Goatman”, who is often described as a tall humanoid figure with goat horns and hooves, who can mimic voices and other sounds, among other things.

The description of the animal in this story does actually fit that of an Eurasian eagle owl. In the dark humans tend to exaggerate the size of what they see. Eagle owls are massive, and are one of the largest owl species in the world, topping even the great grey owl from the Americas and the Powerful owl from Australia. It has yellow eyes, and often a pale colored face. So likely, they saw a Eurasian Eagle owl that night and mistook it for a monster due to being unfamiliar with the owl itself. Then, their second trip, they went there under confirmation bias, expecting to see signs of this animal they saw before, and so anything they found, including the nest and the disappearance fed into that expectation. When in reality, they likely stumbled upon an unrelated nest and the missing berry picker was also unrelated. Confirmation bias is a hell of a drug.

I'm late to this but when looking into the man's disappearance, apparently in his phone call he said that "I'm being attacked by a dog that isn't a dog" I'm not sure how true this is, but I've found it mentioned several times, even in a forum. No idea what to make of this. I couldn't find any cause of death being made public even 2 years after the man's disappearance.
