As popular as he is, I think Luka is still underrated. He was involved in every play on that 30-0 run, either rebounding, blocking, stealing, assisting or scoring, or all of the above!! And he does it with style. He is fun to watch. An incredible once in a generation talent.

It’s so awesome to see Luca working as a facilitator and getting most of the scoring for this run from his teammates. If they can get consistent offense from their other starters and not just Luca like in this game I think they could really become a significant threat come playoffs.

Luka made every single read off the double drag screen except the easiest one (short corner pass). Hit the opposite corner, the big, the wing man and made the easy driving lay-up on back-to-back-to-back plays. masterclass of reading defense. Even the adjustment of removing the short corner man and putting Seth so Shai couldn't stunt was amazing.

Fabulous. Luka is a phenom. I'm old and remember watching the NBA in the 70s when Bill Russell did color commentary for CBS. (I'm so old I remember watching Bill Russell actually play). And I remember him pointing out that a long catch-up run can tire a team out and leave them out of gas at crunch time. Just like in a boxing match where a fighter can make a big comeback but punch himself out and not have enough left to overcome his opponent. Regardless, the Mavs looked great and obviously on any given night can stick it to any team in the NBA.

Instead they exerted a fuckton of energy running themselves in circles, got a meaningless record, lost anyway, and will be tired as fuck next game. It was stupid. When teams are up by that much, they lay off the other team. As soon as they saw Dallas really was as stupid as they thought they were, they went ahead and closed them out.

Watched live here in the Philippines & I got exhausted from jumping, pounding our wall, & screaming my head off with that 30-0 run. I realized then that the players most definitely just got so exhausted towards the end they couldn’t sustain all that hyped-up energy anymore. 😢 Heartbreaking loss

This squad legit, Even with SGA and Chet having lackluster performances the rest of the team still deadly AF, I really like our line up right now.

Not really. A 26 point deficit is usually the moment where you take your starters out and let the other team run themselves in circles scoring for awhile. Why exert all that energy in the fourth quarter? As soon as the Thunder realized they were actually still playing a game, they went back up

@@cracknigr6065 That's not true. Luka has done this his entire career. He goes on auto-pilot for 2-3 quarters and then tries to play a whole game in the 4th. It's one reason he ends up getting injured almost every year. He does not seem to have the ability to play four full quarters of basketball and see the long game.

that is the record. its really sad tho cause the other ones resulted in a win. there was like a 29-0, 28-0, 27-0, and 26-0 runs which all resulted in wins. but the record 30-0 run that just happened with luka and the mavs (one of my favorite teams), ended in a loss and it pisses me off. luka popped off during that run.

This is the record. The previous record was 29 by the Lakers (to start the game) against the Kings in 1987, then the Cavs did it against the Bucks in 2009. The previous Mavs record was 28 against the Warriors in 2021.
