Replacing the Marquee on my Large Arcade with a custom Pixelcade Flush Mount

Hey guys! In this video I show you how to a custom made flush-mount Pixelcade LED device to replace the original marquee I built for my large arcade machine. I also worked through a lot of my hang ups with Blender and Vavinci Resolve while making this video. This is also the first time I tried to use 3D animations to show the install process. I was not able to get the focus to work correctly on this camera setup. Sorry for that.

Nice video with the animation, but would have like to have seen a speeded up process as well. I can see the nostalgia of keeping the original. 👍

Thank you, I wasn't sure how you guys felt with the speed up process, sometimes I feel like it's cheating you guys out of seeing the details :-) I'll check that next time I have any build stuff :-) (coming soon)

Honestly, I liked it. Have you thought of trying your hands at a second cab build? You can use this new technique to illustrate the build process.

I am in a way with the 1UP mods, gotta do the control panel customization next after finishing the Pixelcade stuff.

Crazy cool. I like the animation however I imagine it takes a ton of time to do that! Perhaps it depends on what you are demonstrating. I think some things might be easier to understand in that format and other things might be more clearly demo strated in your traditional way.

Gotcha, yeah definitely depends on the content, I was using this as a way to force me to continue the modeling, there are some things I want to do but I had to get over my anxiety of learning how to model stuff, so this sort of forced me to get past the hurdle.

@@stevetb7777 Yeah, I'm working on making models for all the arcade parts so I can animate putting the parts together with exploded views and so forth :-)

Love your videos, I'm trying to build a all shooting game (mame) with Ultimarc AimTrak Gun With Recoil, is there game pack for just light guns and do you have a video on setting it up ??? Thanks

When you say game pack, do you mean a collection of ROMs that only have guns? If so, I'm not aware of one. I have videos on the guns, but not a specific ROM collection. The closest I'd be able to do is a favorite top-10 of gun games or something like that.
