Great video. A little tip, you can actually turn the led sideways and sneak it through that gap without using a dremel tool.

Thank you! Was in the same situation, and when I realized replacing the leg means dealing with the LED situation I got stuck. Only 2 solutions I could see was desoldering/soldering the wires or dremell the plastic so I can fit the LED trough. You gave me confidence to apply the dremell solution. In the end, I noticed the LED looked like the soldering has broken off but it turns out everything worked fine when I tested the drone. 👍

Just did this! Thanks! If you don't have a dremmel tool, I just used the various torx ends to and phillips heads to make the hole bigger and bigger, and just cut out the plastic on the leg that was getting tossed. All good

This exact damage + prop damage happened to me on a job this past Monday with my Mavic 2 Pro. The lateral sensors didn't catch the object to it's left and crashed causing the mavic to hit various things on the way down but somehow caught itself. I found it hovering. I still had many shots to get.. so I replaced the damage props and flew her with the damaged landing gear. I obviously didn't want to press my luck on further jobs so I didn't want to leave it damaged. I don't have the time to send it off to be repaired so I was searching KZfaq with the hopes I'd find a way to repair it myself in a much more time sensitive manner. Found this video and glad I did. I had to dremel both gear to release and then push the light through the new piece. They sell them on Amazon for $8 for a pair. Instead of spending $50-200 for a repair.. it cost me $8. Not bad at all.

I glued mine on, after stepping on it. Then it was stepped on again. Took ages to get all the glue off ans the 3 main screws but that LED is a pain in the ass! changed my dji fpv landing gear and antenna board x100 easier.
