Well you don’t have to manually pair the controller to the drone when you switch between usage when using the Smart Controller. It’s still nice that you can use one controller on both drones.

You can not bypass. If you don’t turn the booster on you loose signal at about 1000 feet or less. This is why i opted to purchase an additional remote already modded.

You can actually. You need to use a splitter for where the antenna plugs into the controller (those tiny coax cables). Instead of unplugging the stock antenna and plugging in the alientech, you put the splitter on and plug them both in.

I doubt it because this specific antenna only came out in September of last year. You could try looking on eBay. Secondly, it’s such a pain to install, I doubt you would find a used one without it already being installed in a controller. Since this antenna works in many different models/manufacturers, the chances of finding a used one in a mini or air 2 controller are even more unlikely.

@@factopialab Makes sense if you have the mini 2 and the air 2 because the same controller works for both drones. All of these types of boosters cost a lot of money.

Sorry to hear about your Mini. I had two original mini’s that were defective and returned them for the Mavic Air 2. My favorite out of all of them!

@@DronePsyche My million dollar question is really how bright is that mini 5 screen in sunlight or do you have to use a sunhood? BTW, just had a look at my footage and very happy so will get going with KZfaq in the next few days... editing is a ton of work!

Pretty much as bright as any phone. I flew all summer and had no issues with heat and if I had issues with the brightness I would just make sure that I took off in a shaded area to help

Manufactures are missing the boat not making tablets with brighter screens, DJI makes a monitor called crystal sky Brightest available I believe, make sure you bring a few extra bags of money when you go to buy one.
