The Dragon's Dogma blue balling is at nuclear levels, but I was still happy to see Itsuno give the announcement himself. I bolted upright SO fast when I saw that logo, lmao. If anything, my hope for a new game is only higher now that it's getting its own dedicated show.

If Max had any knowledge of past MH games, he'd realize how MASSIVE of a reveal Espinas is. For those of you who don't know, Espinas was the flagship monster from a side series called Frontier, which had hundreds of unique monsters that have never crossed over to the main series, except for Hypnocatrice all the way back in gen 2, and Lavasioth which is the only one that has returned since it's initial main series debut. Unfortunately, since Frontier was a game that persisted solely on online servers that received regular content updates from 2007 until a few years ago, but is now permanently offline, and we had not received any of it's unique monsters in the main series, many people assumed all of those hundreds of unique monsters would likely never be seen again. Espinas coming to Rise may just mean that going forward, after years of being completely unused, we may start seeing some of the unique monsters from Frontier finally being put into the main series of games, and that means there is A LOT of content they can pull from for future titles.

For Village It's amazing just how much switching perspectives can literally make it feel like an all-new game.

I really like the fact we're getting Frontier monsters again, which hasn't happened since Freedom Unite. Interestingly, I recall Espinas originally being planned to be in Unite. Either way, it's a nice pick, and I hope we see more down the line

Not like in a gatekeeping way, but because I genuinely understand if you saw that and went "oh... so it's just a subspecies? Why'd that get a specific cutscene?" Capcom basically gave everybody an excuse to go through all of the modern resident evil games before RE4 comes out. Next gen versions of 7, 2 and 3, and an all new mode for RE8 that basically makes it a new game, plus DLC and RE Verse. There's enough Resident Evil happening to keep us busy until RE4. Absolutely well played.

I have never seen a game get not announced in such a bizarre way like Dragon's Dogma. It's just confusing to me why they would do it like that.

Imagine if Konami was embracing Silent Hill as much as Capcom is embracing Rresident Evil.

It's not often that I find people that enjoy the same underrated games I've played. When Max said Dragons Dogma I felt so reassured. I loved that game, I got it at launch because it came with a Resident Evil 6 demo. In the end I enjoyed Dragons Dogma more than RE6

Dragon's Dogma Remaster with the Full Map (instead of the 40% that we got) would let me die happy. Years ago i would have never Guessed it but now i am Fully on board for a Remake.

The clips of Leon walking around gave us a lot of info. 1) You can move and aim like the modern games; 2) You got a dedicated crouch button, may even have auto standing when behind cover.

Straight up seeing Gore magala and Espinas brought me back to the mood to play Mohun. I love world but the way it handled its updates didn't sit right with me as I was missing on content since I'm a solo player. Thankfully that got fixed. I have yet to try much rise but seeing my favorite monster Gore magala and Espinas, which was heavily rumored to have supposed to come out in monster hunter FU is pretty great. The fact they brought back one of the OG jungle zones and basically remaster it is amazing. Also they flipping Jebaited us on Dragons Dogmas.

Aight so Max is kinda clueless on monhun a bit so I'll drop all the preface here you need. Espinas is a BIG deal, like...the BIGGEST deal for the series to see back. Gore Magala is the most loved monster and popular monster in the series, ask anyone who's played an older game and they'll usually gush about him plenty, he's THE one and only in many fan's hearts. He also has one of the biggest story moments in the series, so because of that, it means he will be very important to the game and will end up doing a lot and being very prominent most likely. Lucent Nargacuga is a poisonous Nargacuga that can turn invisible, making it very difficult to track. It's very fast, sudden with its movements, and insanely tough unless you know how to really read a Nargacuga and predict them. *Now for the Overview you might not have gotten* This trailer introduced two of the most important monsters in the series. Gore is in general a monster many people didn't expect, and possibly the most important story monster in all of monster hunter due to just how many mechanics and effects come from his inclusion. Espinas is the first new thorny monster at the beginning. Many new players to the series don't really understand anything about him of course, but he's THE MOST important monster to see back ever. This guy isn't just from another older monster hunter game, he's legit from an entirely separate Canon series branch of monster hunter only in Japan called Monster Hunter Frontier. For the longest time, we thought frontier was never coming back since its shut down, and since they never made it clear on whether or not frontier was Canon, we thought all 89 of the crazy monsters from frontier would be lost forever. But Espinas is the flagship monster of frontier, so him being here is SERIES CHANGING, his inclusion changes the future of the entirety of monster hunter, so he is quite a big deal to see. I will also note that sunbreak so far has WAY more monsters than iceborne, and with many other things included, so it is safe to say it's a bit of a huge upgrade over world.

Exoprimal looks like an “anthem” with dinosaurs. I hope it releases way better because that game looks so fun!

Resident evil village has 3rd person now that's impressive 👏 👌

I hope they’ll eventually do a third person mode for RE7 as well in some future rerelease. I assume the core of the third person mode was built for Rose’s mode, and that’s how it was implemented for the main campaign. And since Ethan is the protagonist of RE7 as well, there’s at least a handful of animations they can reuse there, even if there’s a lot of new animations and things to consider for an RE7 version of the mode. Would also be cool if they’d eventually took the same approach of adding new stuff to the RE2 & RE3 remakes. Like adding more unlockable and replayable playthroughs to RE2, and more areas (both missing and brand new) to RE3; maybe even revamp how Nemesis works, to feel more emergent and less scripted. It could be years down the line, but I feel ot could really add that bit of extra to make these remakes feel ”Definitive”.

It's so nice to see Capcom doing great again. I thought this showcase was the best we've seen this year so far.

I was hoping for a new SF character and a bit more "shooting" gameplay from RE4. The RE8 DLC ended up being the coolest thing, actually. 3rd person mode is exciting, I usually prefer that to first person.

I grew up with monster hunter, my first monster hunter was freedom unite so for me the most hype monsters are the daimyo hermitaur and the shogun ceanataur cause it’s so nostalgic. Also I can’t remember how to spell their names so if I misspelled them sorry.

For a non-mainline game like Frontier to have their monsters shoved in rise is probably the best move they could do since Frontier monsters are well known to get real crazy sometimes and it pairs perfectly with Rise's playstyle.

Getting Lucent Nargacuga in Sunbreak is going to be awesome. Not only is it a great hunt, but it has some of the best weapons in MH history: Great Raw, high Affinity, and a lot of Purple and White sharpness. I'm also getting the impression that Sunbreak is going to be bigger than Iceborne. I think development of the base game got screwed by Covid so they couldn't do as much as they wanted to and pushed it back to Sunbreak instead.

My eyes sparkling more in shock and wide smile when seeing RE Village in third person mode, that looks more good than i thought.
