​@@CrimsonFIame You need to remember that we live in an age where games can be announced, reach "development hell/limbo", then get cancelled, in the span of _days._ The meme is in place to produce humor in how people genuinely _want_ this game to come out, but had to wait 2 years for any information about it. People had long since expected it'd either go the way of Duke Nukem Forever (takes forever, massive disappointment), or Scalebound (cancelled). The reactions of others are entirely justified. Hell, I think FF7 Remake also had a long-as-fuck period of silence, and luckily the end-result wasn't "wholely disappointing".

I like Miyazaki but GRR Martin has no business in this game... he contributed nothing..

I never played any soulsborne besides Bloodborne. Wich i btw love to bits. I did watch quite a few playtroughs of demon souls and all 3 dark souls and 1 of sekiro. Look and probably play amazing. Not the biggest fan of sekiro but thats personal taste. But FUUUUUCK elden ring makes me wanna get a ps5... but i don't wanna buy one now with all the scalping bs and super limited games on it

@@cherrydragon3120 Writing the script of a videogame or even it's lore isn't the same as writing an entire book. Martin takes forever to finish his works but when they do come out they are totally worth it. So i am not surprised that he finished his part on this game in time considering the ammount of work needed isn't the same.

You can see it even in ds3, there’s a ton in ds3 that’s straight up lifted and improved from ds2. It’s such a shame ds2 didn’t get the attention/development it deserved, but I do like seeing it be redeemed posthumously lol.

@@Hinaatje Maybe a bit, but it still deserved the criticism, just as every Souls game does. 1 had a *really* disappointing final act (looking at you, Bed of Chaos). 2 has too much boss bloat, game-breaking healing systems, and frustrating level design (looking at you, Drangleic Castle and Brume Tower). 3 went *way* too hard on the anime, making every boss feel like a BBEG from a shounen series, which reduced just about every boss to “woah! This boss is so fast and strong! Gotta dodge every attack perfectly to get that perfect counter opportunity, believe it!” (looking at you Sulyvahn, Nameless, Midir, and Gael)

@@Walamonga1313 Do you not think it is a bit underwhelming looking graphically? Look at the horse's mane near the beginning and pretty much anything with fur/hair, it really needs some work. Lots of textures look like they were made in 2014. That said, the game is still VISUALLY impressive despite having flawed graphics on a technical level because the animations, particle effects, and art design are amazing.

Well he did write it WITH Myazaki so maybe Hidetaka made him buckle up and work instead of rewriting a single chapter to perfection for 6 months. Seriously, that man is a perfectionist.

Went up to about a 7 lol. I'll certainly play it but it doesn't look mindblowing like Bloodborne or Sekiro by being so different from what we expect from them. The world looks cool though. Seems like Dark Souls 1's interconnected levels wasn't a happy mistake.
