Max Verstappen takes father Jos for a spin at Spa after Monaco

After taking his father Jos for a spin on the Monaco track in the Clio RS, Max Verstappen is now taking Jos for s spin on Spa-Francorchamps in a 500 BHP/600 Nm torque Renault 3.8L.
Racing drivers make bad passengers :-)
Jos: Max.. Please behave, will you! Else I'll slap you!

Jos says in the beginning “Je doet wel normaal hè, of ik sla je” it’s Dutch for “drive normal otherwise I beat you”. After Max is starting to drive, the look on Jos face says everything 😂

Finally able to make out what Max said at the end... Hilarious. Max: And? Jos: Yeah, unreal, you did that on purpose, didn't you?! (referring to earlier plead to take it easy) Max: What..? With my mother I went faster...! Jos: Yeah... right.... Would love to see the footage of Max driving with mother Sophie...

I stand corrected, here's what Max really said to Jos at the end: "What...? With Danillo I went even faster" Danillo is Max half brother, who curiously differs only weeks in age with Max... how does that work? (legally) Ok, corrected again: "It's not Max' half brother, but Jos'. So it's Max his uncle technically. His grandfather remarried and got a child at quite an old age" Thanks TheMrAOE

He is old and raced in early 2000’s so he’s not training at all these days while max is in his prime so not a fair comparison tbh

@@marcelolimajr2007 he also raced till 2008 and has done a few guest appearances and other categories of im not mistaken. Jos stopped in ‘03 so that’s 5 year difference of neck training alone so the degradation would be pretty different lol also 3 year age gap which isn’t crazy but possibly a factor

well I think it has mostly to do with who is driving. Max knows when he will break/turn in, he anticipates his muscles. For the passenger it's always a reaction, which is always slower. If they would swap seats I bet it would be the other way around.

Has nothing to do with racing but all with reacting to changes. If Jos was driving, there would be little movement either. Same happens in your own car when someone else is driving, and you are the passenger.

That was just a funny comment without any ulterior motive, nothing more. The fact that you are trying to twist this into a serious comment is laughable in itself. Michealsteal, it’s true what he said. When max was karting , his father did everything for him to achieve succes . A fast kart , a big sum of money , sponsors , a van to go to the track a mechanic ( all Jos himself) when max sometime was bored of karting or didn’t take it seriously max came into pits and and Jos once punched his helmet pretty hard to wake him up , and he said quote: if you keep driving like this you will become a truckdriver ( so no fast race driver). You should watch documentaries about max , his father was really harsh on him. That’s 2 because Jos his father did the same to Jos but even worse ( like locking him up in the kartingvan ..
