You know, I do think this was overall a healthy experience for Bill. Sure he went a little overboard, but getting in shape and exercising did help his self confidence, and that's a big part of recovering from really severe depression.

I can't dislike the fit guys. They eagerly approached a man that most characters in the show gave up on, and they tried to make him better (by their standards). Their standards for normal might have been whack, but they accepted Bill even when he did not fit in.

Bill is so relatable. He goes through a cycle of Depression -> Finding an interest -> Manic obsession -> inevitable top out -> Depression over lack of success at the aforementioned hobby. He does it on repeat, and so often. It's like Peter Griffin, but instead of going back to normal after each brief interest, Bill carries them all as failures, becoming more hopeless with each one. And man, ain't that the truth.

Props to Bill for being the only cartoon character ever to actually make a visible physical difference in their one-shot fitness endeavours episode.

I cannot get enough of the face Dale makes when he's helping Hank with a scheme.

Dale is normally a kook conspiracy theorist, but sometimes his skepticism is on point. Who is "Dirk"? What is a Rapid-Release Protein Supplement? Where is your "pump"? And why does "Dirk" want to "Max it"?

I love this episode and also the fact that these dudes have been my muse to get fit. "No agony, no Bragony" has been my catchphrase since I started. I know they are the bad guys, but I don't care, I'm gonna max my pump!

RIP Macho Man

This episode exemplifies what's wrong with Bill. He does everything at either 0% or 100%, there's no in between with him. Then he goes overboard, gets burned out and starts something else again. Just like the episode where he pretended to be disabled in a wheelchair.

And to think, Bill lifted with the Macho Man Savage.

This was one of the few times Bill let something go to his head but I still felt bad for him at the end. He saw this was all too much and tried to stop it before it got out of hand but those guys basically kept him hostage. Since he already alienated the other 3 they thought he was still the same jackass for a while so he was trapped doing endless reps
