Hey guys and welcome to Mad About Skin. For those of you who have been with the channel for some time you will know my favourite skincare product is The Ordinary argireline solution 10% which is the best anti aging serum for your skincare routine.
When using The Ordinary Argireline Solution 10% its important you avoid some of the common mistakes which could be impacting the results you get from this amazing serum. In this video I want to share with you the 5 most common mistakes with this peptide serum so you can get the maximum benefit.
I have been using the ordinary argireline for 2 years now and Ihave made all of these mistakes in the past so there is no judgement here but I would love for you to learn from my mistakes to benefit your own anti-ageing skincare routine.

I use a couple of small drops of argireline to dampen my Frownies instead of water. I have one deep line between my eyebrows that I get from sleeping on my side (with my face smashed into the pillow). The extra boost seems to make a difference.

Question for you. I am using a micro current device but don't want to spend the outrageous price of the serum that goes along with the machine. Could you recommend an ordinary product to be used as the conductor serum? I was thinking of the hyaluronic acid

I've been using both of these together all over my face for almost a year and disappointingly not noticed much visible difference. However, for the last 3 months I've been targeting the argireline on the areas most needed, followed up by a mix of both over my whole face. And I have to say I'm absolutely blown away by the difference it's made to my forehead lines and crows feet now that I'm using it correctly. I'll never be without it now. I'm nearly 60 and was considering botox but honestly now feel I dont need it. We need to learn how to use these products properly for maximum benefit. Thank goodness I saw this video or I'd still just be slapping it on or worse given up on it altogether 🤷‍♀️

I would advise putting hyaluronic acid on damp skin then it won't suck out moisture in your skin.

I absolutely love this product! I do use it with the Matrixyl. It has greatly softened my forehead wrinkles. I adore The Ordinary line but these 2 are now key players in my skincare routine. I'm 60 and was recently told I look like I'm 40!

Yes Nancy, me too! I use both products as well. He is correct...wait for the Argireline to dry first ( apply on my forehead, under eyes and temple then fan dry). then I mix with the Matryxl for all over. I am 59 and same here..have been told I look late 30s early 40s! love this stuff! It really works.

I love this combo! I naturally have pronounced laugh lines ever since I was a teenager. I started using this combo last year just to try it out and it works! Really works! Hi I couldn't imagine my skincare routine without theae 2 product included thank to your good self. I've been using both now for around 18 months and i don't have laughter lines and my marionette lines are fading fast. I have such faint 11s that its hard to say they are there. Im 53 so consider myself lucky to have found your video many moons ago just to help extend the mileage showing on my face. I always lock my skincare in with a good moisturiser, like putting a lid on something so it doesnt evaporate! Sorry to waffle on but these two little bottles are worth their weight in gold. Love this product by the Ordinary. I started using Principal Secret Skincare 30 years ago and Argireline was the magic ingredient. That skincare helped me age without many wrinkles but it gets no press in the current KZfaq skincare world. It is still sold all the time. Thank you for a great video.

I use Argiriline, Matryxl and Copper peptides together and absolutely love all 3! I definitely target those more lined spots with the argiriline. Then hit my face with copper peptides and lastly matryxl as I find it the thickest of the 3. Then seal in with a moisturizer and suncreen last! I may try it the way you do it just for fun 😊

I agree... The ordinary marine HA is the only HA serum I can use with makeup because of the watery consistency. No pilling...

@@scooby6742 have you tried Hada Labo H/A Hydrating “lotion”? They call it a lotion, but it is consistency of water. The “Milk” is nice too. It’s a bit thicker, but still light weight.

On another note. I wish that companies wouldn't formulate every single product with niacinamide and HA. I don't need it in every step of my routine but it is difficult to get away from.

I've been using Argireline for past couple of months along with using Body Current eye mask and wow my 11s haven't come back..and must admit I've stopped getting Botox..well I got it once and didn't really see that much of a difference, so decided to invest in Body current face devices and using my Ordinary products...Very happy ...Ps I love Niacinamide also..

that point about hyaluronic acid needing somewhere to draw moisture to hold onto is SO TRUE! i usually mist my face before applying any HA products and also make it a point to mist it one more time after applying everything non-oil based. this change has made all the difference

Back in June I commented on one of your argireline videos because I added it to my routine the same a day as my Botox re-up. My personal experiment to see if it helped me go longer than 3 months without spending another chunk of $ on my face. Boys and girls..it has!!!! Botox 4 months old and still going strong. I have desert skin, I am surprised there are not tumbleweeds blowing across my skin,lol. I have used The Ordinary's buffett&,then zi mix The Ordinary's Argeriline & Matrixyl w/ the buffett. I love all 3! I am 54 & I doget botox & ithas extended my botox visits. I concur w/ Hyram for the price point & amount you get, these products cannot be beat. The buffet has 5 of the most widely studied & proven + patented peptides available today. I have not been able to find a comparable product for this price point. GREAT PRODUCTS❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️

What a great video! I have the Ordinary Argireline but never see results & stop using it. I will try targeting. I've gotten somewhat lazy, and I see the difference! Normally I'm diligent with my Tretinoin (Curology... Tretinoin 1.4, azelaic acid & niacinamide 5%) using it 2-3x a week at night and other products in-between. I've got to get back to a routine and DO it! 🙄. My biggest problem is around the mouth and cheek I slept on for years?! 🥴 I'm going to use your video(s) to inspire me to get back on track. Hi Rob, I’ve used both …thanks to your recommendations and love them . I put a few drops of Arginine in a little china dish and dab my finger in that…it saves it running everywhere and using to much product….I rinse the dish out…and do this morning & evening. ❤️

the argereline, matrixyl is a hardcore cocktail. I learned I had forhead lines when I stopped using it. looking at my friends are all getting older but this stuff is like youth crack . it IS runnier than water! love it. it is not bending time backwards like Botox but in a preventative way, my god I'm 34 with nary a wrinkle

Thank you, this way great. I use all 3 and I do agree that you get better concentration by mixing yourself and spot treatment. I’ve always looked really young for my age but menopause is kicking my butt! I use Timeless products but started these products a few weeks ago and my skin looks radiant.

Hi Rob! I've been using the argireline for 5 years now and I still love it. Never tried to mix it and use it all over the face but I will. My only issue with the solution is the texture cause I always hoped they changed it for a less liquidy one. Have a great day ☺️

I have never tried The Ordinary brand Argiriline, but I have used Skin Deva's quite a bit. I don't find it miraculous; then again, I'm about to turn 70 in 2 weeks, so it's a lot different than being your age. I do love it though and I use it pretty regularly, especially on my nasal labial folds, my marionette lines and what I jokingly call my forehead crevasse.

I apply a drop or two (per eye)on my ring finger and apply on my crows feet and frown lines by gently patting it down. I allow it to absorb really well like 3-5 min before applying the remainder of my skin care routine and I think it works so well. I do it twice a day (morning and night) and I have noticed a big difference and it does prolong in between Botox.

I just ordered those 2 products from The Ordinary and also purchased their Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA so--- I guess I was on the right track. I am glad however, that you mentioned using the Argireline first by dabbing on targeted area and then follow with the combo. That was new information for me. I need all the help I can get!!! I use the Argireline and the Hyaluaronic acid and while it's impossible to say if it's reduced my fine lines, my skin is so soft and hydrated that I'd never go without!

I use Argireline with the Ordinary Buffet for about two years now... :) I'm actually very satisfied and to be honest I love Buffet 😍 the concetration of peptides is maybe a little bit lower, but I still like having so many of them in one bottle. I microneedle my skin regularly after which I like to put hialuronic acid sheet mask and after that pat on a little bit of Buffet and Argireline🙃 and my fav moisturizer at the end (of course!)☺ Love the effects🥰 Greetings everyone 😉

Ulta here in Tampa Bay has been sold out of the Argireline and Matrixyl. So I had to order a two months supply from Ulta online. I can't live with out it! I use the Argireline and then I'll do 20mins of Dr Dennis Gross LED mask, then I add the rest of my steps.

Well, I don't know what to think about The Ordinary products because In my experience I found none to be working properly except the Lactic Acid (which actually does exfoliate). More than 8 months with the Buffet (copper) : no visible results whatsoever. Their Hyaluronic Acid did cause me pimples, as well as Amino Acid... I'm a little scared now to try out some products ! But your review seems very honest and what you said about Argireline and Matrixyl together sounds worth a try ! Edit : I just checked and found that The Ordinary Matrixyl does contain castor oil... So, along with the "Buffet", I would not recommend it for acne-prone skin. I should use Argireline alone then...

I actually mix my argireline with the buffet. I was already using the buffet when I came across this product & once I saw how watery it was I felt more comfortable mixing them. Seems to work well 😅

Me too! I use the Buffet w/copper, but first i apply the argireline on targeted areas. I wonder if this is a good combo?

Okay I didn’t read all the comments but I scrolled and didn’t see anyone complain about irritation. I know I’m not the only one it happens to, I’ve read many reviews on their site and Sephora. Many that have done the patch test with no issues and that like me- don’t have sensitive skin but when they put it around their eyes, skin was very irritated. I wish I could post a picture of my irritation on side of eyes. You are my favourite skin person from KZfaq so this is the first video I clicked after typing in the ordinary argireline, was hoping to get some answers to why this happens to some and not others. I’ve never had a problem with any product before. I use tretinoin and have accidentally mixed it with benzoyl peroxide a few times with no issues whatsoever, so why this stuff I wonder? Also was wondering if I keep going with it, wonder if irritation will eventually go away? Oh how I’d love to be getting the results everyone else gets

I do Botox for my forehead, as my muscles causing the lines between my brows and on my forehead are VERY strong and stubborn, and even the Botox doesn’t fully get them to totally paralyze. I am going to be 55 at the end of May and am just beginning to get crow’s feet and lines under my eyes. I’ve been microneedle rolling (every other day), using the Argiriline serum mornings and evenings for a few weeks as my first serum before applying the resviritrol and matrixyl alternating which is layered on first. My skin appears more smooth and also has a glowing moisture to it all day. I do also cover and seal my serums with a combo of moisturizing gel and a lotion with a bottle of The Ordinary hyaluronic serum mixed into the whole container of the gel.

Just a tip: In case people try argireline out and get a very bad skin reaction you need to use cortisol creme to heal your skin again.. i dont have sensitive skin or allergies but this one got My eye area skin puffy, red, dry and wrinkly.. looked like that 10 days after still so got the cortisol creme that fixed it back to normal…

I bought some vacuum pump bottles on Amazon. I fill one 1/2 and 1/2 with argeriline and matryxl. Much less messy to apply than those crappy droppers. I accidentally knocked my dropper bottle into the sink one morning and the little glass dropper tube smashed. No more worries of that with the vacuum pumps. I use the mix day and night. I’m sure it’s helping with my lines.
