In this Quick Tip, Jonas Pilz (@jonaspilz3d) shows how to reset the scale values of objects in Cinema 4D. You will learn the difference between scaling objects in Model mode compared to scaling objects in Object mode. Furthermore, Jonas shows that downloaded objects can come with scale values other than 1 and how to fix this using the Reset Scale command.
Recorded in Cinema 4D S24.

You can't use this for textures with displacement maps. Resizing a displacment map texture also resizes the displacement pattern so that texture will not match the rest of the model. So far there is no way to make resized textures that have used "fit to object" to match the other parts of the model if that texture has the same displacement pattern as the rest of the model. Anyone know the solution? It's been a week of Googling and nothing comes up.

Hey, there I was wondering how could I get the size of the Object in the situation where I forgot to write down the main size. For ex: I'm trying to model a pillar. I started with a cube and I didn't write down the size then I made it editable and then many changes were applied I need the main size of the cube! How can I figure out the size!? I know I can make a cube again and try to fit it! But I need a solution that I can figure out of some polygons sizes! Thank you.

This system (which I've ONLY seen in C4D) is an additional pain in the ass. For example, I need to match two object, one of which was scaled. Ok, we have a transfer tool, but...wait, as we have scale in all objects=1 by default, we can't do that. What we can do is copy-pasting all size parameters...

How to scale object proportionally? Do we have a tool for that? What about holding shift as you hit enter when inputting the values? Jesus, make it easy boys.
