I've got to agree on Maxpedition's high quality. I have a bag made by them that I've owned for 8+ years. It is the CCW bag with shoulder strap. I used it for a while as a CCW bag/ range bag. 3+ years ago repurposed it as my daily tool bag (appliance repair). It is used 5-6 days a week all day to carry my tools. It is finally wearing out the bottom. Nothing a patch won't fix though. I'll definitely stick with Maxpedition for bags.

I agree, Maxpedition gear is tougher and better built than other brands. I can't say enough great stuff about my jumbo Versipack, it is my EDC bag.

Nice bag! My wife bought me a UTG tactical messenger bag for an early fathers day present and it's surprisingly well made for something made in China or where ever it's made but I bet that bag will hold up extremely well! If you pay 106 dollars for it, it better hold up!

While I am not saying do not defend yourself or others in an active shooter/assailant situation, please note that a person needs to be EXTREMELY careful when inserting themselves into this kind of situation. Charlotte-Mecklenburg PD in North Carolina conducted a study and found that plain clothes officers (off duty, detectives, etc) had anywhere from a 75%-95% chance of being killed by responding uniformed officers simply because all the officers saw upon arrival was a person with a gun and did not think to look for a badge clipped to the person's belt or hung around their neck. Even officers wearing police jackets (and no uniform) were sometimes viewed as the suspects by uniformed officers. Now imagine how a civilian running through the scene of an active shooter with a rifle and a bag may be viewed by responding law enforcement. This is not to in any way to say a person should do nothing, but if you choose to act in such a situation be sure to try and make it known to everyone, especially responding law enforcement that you are not the suspect.

Yes...Maxpedition cost a bit more than others but they ARE worth the extra coin. I've has a Versipack & others for go on 5 years and they simply don't quit!! Are they perfect...sure I wish they were $30+ cheaper across the board like most other offerings, but in the long run???they are going to outlast other brands.

Aloha. Nice review. The bag looks smaller than your previous bag with the molle on the outside, but if the outside compartments meet your needs, seems like a good package. I see it as a great support bag to pack for a specific rifle/pistol combination. Great for a day at the range or if you are taking some training classes over a weekend at an outdoor range, load it up the night before, all prepped with what you will need for say a day of class. At the price point on this bag, I can see myself buying 2, and loading 1 up for the 1st half of a day in a training class, and the other for the second half of the day. Comments I am reading about this bag for EDC or CCW I think are missing the mark....while this bag may technically 'conceal' a firearm (pistol on the inside), the outside magazine pouches/IFAK/etc pretty much give away that this bag is for supporting a shooter. If you want something to carry around as an EDC and support a CCW capability, better to get something like the ELSA folding plate carrier, loaded with whatever magazines/IFAK/etc you need. Elsa On Off Demo elsasaves.com For CCW of anything longer than a pistol, something like a converted tennis racket bag works great. EDC/CCW does not work if the appearance screams out to anyone looking at you...."HEY, look at me! I have a gun and LOTS of ammo!" Peace & Prepare Pax et Paro

This is nice and all....but would you really use this in an active shooter situation? I mean...if someone heres that theres a shooter around, then sees you with your rifle and stuff....they might get the wrong idea. What if the cops see you and think you're the shooter? You know Cops nowadays shot first then....shot again....and again, then ask questions. I just dont think this is a wise thing to do.

dear sir I have a great deal of respect for you and I enjoy your videos but I think your first and only responsible is to your family first of all if you found yourself in an active shooting event you and your family is the only thing that matters a day there safety I doubt a great deal you would go and engage someone with your pistol or what ever you may have on you if you did not have to especially if you are able to leave the situation safely why people have the idea to play hero is beyond me but I digress if I found my self in that situation and I can get out safely I will I would only email gage a shooter if I had to
