Thank you great video I’ve got a channel too ~ just started working I had an RV shop less than three months ago because I’m a full timer and there’s just no way to get service so I have decided to get into the industry 😊

I have a question... the video is very helpful and I understand it all but sometimes when I push the on button it does nothing but beeps green light.

@@psketch If the green light is "on" that means you have Auto selected to maintain 78 degrees. Push the "Auto" button to turn the green light off and see if that works for you.

Problem. Our fan works but the vent does not want to open. Any ideas? Thanks. Yes it opens manually

Very good tutorial. Nicely done. I'd love to be able to turn off the fan and NOT have the lid close every time. I realize I can open the lid again (leaving the fan off), but there doesn't seem to be a way around this extra step. Wanting to turn off the fan and NOT closing the lid is something I do often. Am I missing something? (MaxxFan Deluxe 7500K)

Thanks for the kind words about the tutorial! Unfortunately, on the MaxxFan Deluxe 7500K, there isn't a built-in way to turn off the fan and leave the lid open. The thermostat and fan are powered together so if you turn off the fan the lid will close, unfortunately the closing mechanism is linked to the fan operation. Manual is the only way.

@@DougsX5 Thanks for the quick reply. I understand the explanation. It seems MaxxFan didn't think that one through. So often we stop needing the fan (e. g., after cooking or showering) but want to leave the lid open. Requiring the user to reopen the lid as an extra step is noisy and really should be unnecessary. Alas. Again, thanks.

Great vid! My controller stopped working or it’s not being recognized by the fan anymore… has full battery just not calibrated or something… any tips??

Thanks! If you set the vent to ‚on‘ and switch off the power supply- will it still be on when the power comes back? What I actually would like to know is if I can switch the fan on/off by switching the power supply on/off

I believe it will default to off when powered back on by the power supply. Not sure as I don't operate mine this way.

What did you use to remove old sealant? How long did it take you to do the installation? Great informational video

I just used a putty knife, and slowly worked it off. Shouldn't take more than 15 minutes to scrap old sealant off. The overall job took approx 2 hours.

It is powered utilizing the same wire as the existing fan. If you just had a vent with no fan, then you would run power from a nearby 12v light. Sorry I don't have an installation video showing how I connected the wires, however, there are several out there on KZfaq.

I can’t get the green light to go off on my max air. I accidentally turned it on. Do you know how I turn it off?

Should be able to just push the on/off switch.

@@mdm40mdm I don't have an answer then. That's how it works on mine. It may have an electrical glitch. Try pulling the fuse removing all power and maybe that will reset it.

I can’t get the set temp to work well, put in two fans, and they will open well before the “set” temp. For example I had set temp at 83 and room temp was 73 and the fan came on….i don’t understand why

Are you setting auto mode from the fan itself or the remote?

@@DougsX5 according to instructions one can control the “set” temp with the remote! Good video about ventilation though.

The only thing I can think is try resetting it at the fan. It should work appropriately plus or minus 2 degrees.@@daviddurden9327

Yes, you just open it manually.

Cover can't be open halfway is worthless it only opens all the way, so you have to use very high cover toler then ac itself

If you don't want it opened all the way then you have to manually open it.
