When I worked in France, there was always red wine available at breakfast time. Not everybody partook of it, but it was available if you wanted to. In fairness, I should point out that the French who did chug some red wine at breakfast time, always diluted it with water.

@@Rasscasse I’m french and I’ve never ever seen wine available at breakfast. Also any person diluting its wine with water would be heavily judged as an alcoholic or as a sacrilegious prick

If you wish to characterise your fellow French Countrymen as alcoholics and sacrilegious pricks, that’s your prerogative I guess. Personally I found them to be lovely people 😄

@@Rasscasse I think you misunderstood my comment. Drinking wine or any alcohol for breakfast is generally frowned upon. Diluting wine in water isn’t as much frowned upon but just something you don’t do, similar to dipping your bread in a glass of water for example. I know some winemakers and it is true that during vendanges the wine consumption is a bit different, but this doesn’t apply to the rest of the population. I’m glad you find French people lovely, the rude and pretentious stereotype only really applies to Paris, people elsewhere in the country are generally friendly and quite proud of their regions, specialities and such. I absolutely do not characterize my fellow french as alcoholics or anything, my point was that this is a common judgment that french people would and will make regarding people drinking alcohol for breakfast (generally speaking).

Emphasis on Post-2000. Quite a few on that list predate that point. As for those that don't; I'd have to disagree. The Espace for instance... just no. Not FIAT Multipla levels of ugliness... but still no.

@@jimtaylor294 I think the Espace F1 is one of the wildest things to come out of French motoring. Back when Renault had to celebrate two successful events in one piece, and the solution was the body look of people carrier strapped on the chassis of an F1 car.
