Wish we got to see more of the Grim Brothers, they were a loyal friend club to the Sons

The one thing that pissed me off about the sons mayan truce is that theres absolutely no way in hell Alvarez wouldve agreed to a truce after losing his son.

Totally agree. Mayans felt lost in the story telling. It went from a story of a guy who did the right thing that was illegal to (avenging his mother) to him being a total psychopath.

What some of us SOA fans fail to realize is that Mayans MC show IS Sons Of Anarchy also! They're just digging deeper into the Sons Of Anarchy Universe, if they made a Calaveras MC or a Grim Bastards MC spinoff, it would just be another connection back to SAMCRO! Not everything SOA has to do with only Jax Teller and his kids!

They are equal. Both have their stengths and bad writing at times and neither are perfect but they are everything they need to be.

I actually like mayans more since they started moving away from the cartel and focused on the club its been a much better show

SOA season 1 episode 1 filled every plot hole than Mayans in 5 seasons

SoA is only slightly better, the only thing that caused the Mayans to get under my skin is that they killed happy

What’s so disappointing about Mayans is there was already a built-in audience that wanted to love it. On top of that. The thing that really makes it even more irritating to people that are fans of the SOA universe is I don’t think there is anybody that would say a bad thing about the cast of Mayans. That cast was awesome. They were the only things that were really good about the show the last two years. So I’ll never say anything bad about the cast, but the writing on that show was garbage I didn’t need them to have Sons of Anarchy cameos but if you’re going to go that route you need to make it makes sense . And I’m sorry, but when you kill two members of Samcro, and please remember when you say Samcro you’re not talking about the entire club in every charter. Every club has its own nickname and Samcro is just the nickname for the Redwood originals a.k.a. the boys from Charming. But think about the original Sons of Anarchy what did Samcro do to another gang if they killed a member of theirs? They wiped out the entire opposition. So this group of Mayans kill two members of that club and they don’t even try to retaliate? They let another charter of the sons of anarchy get all mad about it? You killed off Montez, and there was no revenge from charming at all? Like that doesn’t even make sense in this universe. And then there’s the way that Happ died, which I think is some of the worst writing in history. So let me get this straight. Happy, a grown man who has a house in charming in northern California to drive 10 hours down south so him and his girlfriend could hook up in a shed in enemy territory? The same thing with bringing Wendy into it . She’s living on a farm in northern California and she just happens work done on her car near the Mexico border? Happy and windy should’ve just been hanging out there like it took place. 10 minutes outside of charming. The last three seasons just felt like things happen because things happen. Then they bring inside characters inside storylines that led nowhere in either the writers completely forgot about it or they just hoped we would forget about it. Such a great cast and it’s a shame because with the amount of talent they had should have been just as good as SOA.

Mayans season 4 and 5 is trash, soa had problems but it did a great job developing characters. EZ became a villain in like 2 seconds without any progression. They also juggle way too many plots

Marcus had to make that deal, he had no other choice. With SAMCRO nipping at the clubs heals, and The Calveras unreliability, he had no muscle to protect is shipments. The Calveras dropped the ball too many times and there was no way Marcus was going to patch them in now. This made them potential enemies in the future. By forming a truce and paying a tribute to SAMCRO per load, The Grim Bastards would supply the muscle needed to guarantee the heroin got to its destination.

My other favorite authentic moment containing the calaveras mc, giving me the movie warriors vibes where the warriors meet the elimators & the riffs join in: WHY'D YOU DO IT?

But the Mayans that you see in this video is different from the Mayans that you see in the Mayans MC show...... 5 years after Jax Teller's death......the Mayans became like....10 times bigger and more powerful.

Ever notice how in SOA, the Mayans outnumber them by a lot, but in Mayans show, SOA seem so much stronger and have way more members, they play the same underdog scheme😂

Mayans is decent but the characters aren't as good as they were on sons. My main issue with this season is I'm not buying EZ as tbe president of the club. That shit came out of nowhere last season and hasn't gotten any better this one.

The first few seasons on Mayans was decent. Once Kurt sutter got fired the writing was all over the place. In my opinion the ending of Mayans was just horrible. To many storylines that were left with no ending. Elgin James had no idea what he was doing and he needed sutter badly to help.

I think everyone agrees SOA was by no means perfect but even at its worst its still the superior show and the disappointing thing is Mayans had so much potential to be better but failed its characters making most of the club background npcs having a wooden protagonist and giving unnecessary screen time to characters like galindo and Emily and most currently the feminist biker gang. All that along with the messy incoherent writing really bring the show down. Different eras, different cultures, different Nations. Back then cartels and stuff didnt sell as much as they did when Mayans MC started airing. They tried to give Mayans MC a Narcos/Narcos Mexico vibe. Definitely loved SOA more than anything but i wouldn't say Mayans MC sucks. It is a spin off after all, It lives under SOA. Plus, im all in for some Marcus Alvarez action. 3rd fav character of the saga after Jax and Opie.

SOA is more drama than Mayans. Mayans show is darker and more violent. I like both shows but SOA has more rock/metal music in it which I personally prefer than rap.
