@@domenicocutrone5338 I don't know about the 2001 match. Serena got louder every year, and compared to Sabalenka, Seles was the whisper of an evening breeze. You have a point with Sharapova-Azarenka. Did you notice that a year or two ago Vika changed her grunt for a few months? It wasn't high-pitched. Shows that for some of these players it is VERY intentional.

Aryna is the new Serena, minus the chip on her shoulder, but the same overwhelming power coupled with gutsy play, exceptional athleticism and fiercely competitive spirit. Both are good on offense and defense. The only difference is the serve. Serena's serve was her biggest weapon. Aryna's serve is a lot better this year, but can still let her down in key moments like in that IW loss to Rybakina. Serena was lucky Swiatek didn't exist in her time, her heavy top spins would likely give Serena a hard time as well, especially on clay.

Little wandering thoughts, here I go: Which player of Serena's generation would be most similar to the the style of Iga, particularly the things in her game that the general consensus of tennis fans would identify as as "weapon"? She exhibit the kind of nervous corky focus that Nadal has, with some of the movement of Novak (Nadal is an amazing mover, but talking about the style of movement). Kim had easy power, and Li Na had a decent spin. However, as Patrick McEnroe early on said. He'd never seen anyone hit like Iga. The pace and the amount of top spin she can generate. On slower courts she is probably unbeatable.
