i remember having to print out the permission slip for me to post on the neoboards as a 12 year old, begging my grandma to sign it, then mailing (yes PHYSICALLY MAILING) it to neopets hq 😭 i got access to the boards like a week later. core memory.

Ngl i was tempted to buy an aged acc a while ago because i only started recently and i saw so many people woth 10+ year old accs but then i found out that they hacked accs to sell them and i felt bad. Guess i'll have to get my 10y badge on my profile the long way. See you in 2033 💀

Great video, but I disagree with wanting TNT to be more transparent with how they're handling with hackers/botters. It sucks that we won't know what goes on on the back end, but upside of giving us peace of mind is far outweighed by giving botters/hackers the ammunition to be one step ahead.

I agree with you. Great video and I am so happy to see someone is talking about this. Until we get answers from TNT directly (or indirectly from NT) about these TENS OF THOUSANDS OF BOTS MAKING MILLIONS OF NPS FROM FOODCLUB A MONTH how can we believe anything they say?? What is the point of keep scoring if the net is at the bottom of a waterfall?? The botters will keeping profiting nonstop and we will ignore these serious issues because nostalgia > everything.

Don't forget the pets with high Battledome stats being sought after! Especially with the upcoming plot having a battle element. Also, another thing making a pet 'valuable' now is age. Pets born in Y1/Y2 (sometimes Y3) are quite desirable, especially if well named! Before Conversion 2.0 to NCUCs they could trade fairly well into the UC tiers depending on name, stats, colour.

Had one in the same boat I lost with the blue argyle vest when I started out newer someone was nice enough to get one for me. I honestly would offer to pay other players IRL money when I can't find what I need if that couldn't get both parties ban hammered. I assumed some of those IRL money sellers at first were legit (some probably are) it was how I got my meowclops from ebay before the quest system launched didn't realize it was as huge of a problem as it is and that it wasn't just accounts picking up items legit then selling illegitimately

Im playing it now again and it is not too hard to make "money!" In a few weeks I have 800.000 NP... Just play Trudy's surprise each day, and the following games that still work give you 3000 NP's per day with a little bit of practice: - Bouncy Supreme - Fairy Caves II - Crisis Courier - Buzzer Game (way easier with mouse pad) Then you have Fashion Fever that gives you 900 NP for just clicking send score 3 times. Finally there are gaves like Shenkuu Warrior, Sophies Stew, Meerca Chase, nimmo"s pond that can give you a lot of points too.

I got my plushie krawk by buying a 430k plushie petpet brush then giving him the sludge or moss or whatever not too long ago. I got the krawk itself from a weekly reward so I'm happy with myself about it lol. I'm thinking of trying to get back into my sister's account... I think it's still okay. I know my first account, now probably 20 years old, got disabled.

On ROBLOX, there's also a black market for things like items and accounts. People really want to be "OG" everywhere, it seems. "Just make an account yourself, you lazy poser!" Is something I've always wanted to say to someone trying to buy an account.

Damn. Alright, I will say that I used to think that I was a bit 'overattached' to the site because I like to do my dailies and try to save up for a nice paintbrush someday. I might spend a fair bit of downtime playing with my silly little virtual cats, but at least I never dropped a hundred-plus actual real life dollars for something on there.

I just want to play the game to play the game. Not have some status of having an old account or the best items and paint brushes. Coming back I'm actually glad to see the economy some what correcting itself. Items more affordable. It's a game and I just want to relax and play it, not deal with all the drama

These black markets exist for nearly if not all online games as well. Ffxiv, flight rising, fortnite, wow, you name it.
