I saw mayday for the tenth anniversary of A Lesson In Romantics and it was magical. They played the whole album front to back, and everyone in the venue was screaming every word. You could literally feel how much that album and this band meant to everyone in that venue.

The guitars in this song never fail to amaze me. They actually work with the vocals and contribute to the emotion of the song. Pierce the Veil is another good example of this.

I really feel sad for this song. For me it's like couples who deeply love each other but had a very deep conflict as well. Like one of them thought it has already ended, when in fact the other one is still trying to fix it. But upon realizing all the efforts and sacrifices, it's too late already. Just like how this animated video has ended. I don't know who hurt Mayday Parade before, but almost all of their songs are giving me extreme heart ache. And I love it.

When I watch the video, all I can think is that it's a perfect representation (for me) of depression, based on what I've seen in life. My aunt has SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) and I remember when she first started medication (which is how I see Derek's "death " in the video). Originally, it seemed to solve the problem. She got so much better so quickly, it was like magic. Then, she started having strange mood swings (The emergence of the men in suits). She would be ecstatic one moment, angry the next, sad, then happy. She got so irrationally angry at times that I couldn't bear to be around her. I had lived with her for years, but I, as well as much of my family, began to draw away. She is an amazing woman, but I feel like who she was before the medication is like the woman who jumps off of the cliff in the video. She's gone now that my aunt has gotten so dependant on her medication. None of this is to say that medication for depression, SAD, etc. is bad or that it never works, because this is just my aunt's journey with it. I know other people who've had depression and got medication and it works like a miracle, and has continued to work. I just thought that this video (not so much the music) is an almost perfect representation of her story.

ang lungkot ko pero pag pinapakinggang ko ang kantang ito ay nagiging ayos ang pakiramdam ko dahil ito ang isa sa mga paboritong kanta at banda ng paborito kong tao. paborito ko since 2011 tas 2020 na ngayon kaso wala na syang pakialam sakin ngayon pero sya pa rin ang magiging paborito ko habambuhay.
