I was trying to find the perfect song to dance to at my wedding and right when I thought I found it, I heard this song and knew this absolutely was the one. The line "Give me your misery, all of it, give it to me, I can hold onto it for you it's not a problem" made me cried so hard when I first heard it (still does, crying right now actually) because the first time my husband saw my depression rear its ugly head, he did what no one else in my past has, he held me and said, "It's okay. I'm right here. I'm not going anywhere." He sees beyond my broken parts and that's honesly all I've ever wanted.

I just want Mayday Parade to keep writing the soundtrack of my dreams for the rest of my life

I saw them live about 2 months ago! I was with my sister, we have a 10 year age gap and I've never really felt close to her. I've always known she has my back and she knows I have hers no matter how young I am. But let me tell you when this song turned on it's like we were the same person, we started crying really hard and she grabbed me and we got pushed right in front of the stage in the center. We both have depression and personally I've had lot's of trauma with SA and I remember her telling me when I was 7 in the kitchen "I will always be there for you and I love you so much.". Lot's of feelings rushed in at that moment when they played this song. Me and her have different dads but neither are really in our lives. I love her so much, she makes me feel so loved. Thank you, Mayday Parade, for making amazing music and saving lives, and giving me and my sister a reason to fight and giving me that incredibly special moment.

Soooo many fucking feels. Mayday Parade’s songs can paint so many fucking memories. I’m so happy new music has come out.

This song still gets me in the same spot as when I first heard it

I've waited too long for this. I love the band, but I've got to admit, I wasn't the biggest fan of Black Lines (although I did like tracks like Until You're Big Enough and Just Out of Reach). I'm so glad they're growing in style while still maintaining the same raw, heartfelt sound that makes Mayday Parade different from other alternative/pop punk bands.

Just saw mayday parade perform this live at sad summer fest while it was pouring rain in Pontiac,Mi. Literally one of the most surreal moments I’ve ever experienced. The entire crowd was connected in a way I can’t explain. It was perfect. Like if you were there that night with me 🤘

I love Mayday Parade and I’m a long time supporter who has a few of their physical albums in my room :-) I think this “new style” still has remnants of their past music, with screams of angst in a few lyrical phrases or subtle lyrics throughout an upbeat song that yell depression. I am looking forward to their new album, I’ve been waiting- no, we’ve all been waiting. :)

My friend passed away a few months ago and he loved you guys. Loved singing your songs. I thought about him today and then this popped up on my KZfaq. I guess he was trying to show me something.

It’s remarkable how they can change their style up a little bit every album without losing their signature sound. Most artists/bands that keep playing either fall into repetition and fade into obscurity or dramatically alter their sound and lose their original following. They always manage to stay original while still remaining themselves.

Whenever I feel very angry angainst pretty much everything, I look at this video, and it calms me down and makes me smile. Good Job Mayday Parade !

Some bands peak then decline. Some bands maintain. Some bands get better. Mayday seems to be getting better. Sure, the nostalgia of Romantics or Anywhere But Here is still high, but Sunnyland and What It Means To Fall Apart have both been A+ albums IMO. Self Titled still my fav though. There isn't a single song on that album I don't love.

I love it bc it's the best part of each of their albums all in 1. The guitars have a nice raw/clean tone like black lines, the bass is nice and creamy like mitc, the drums nice and verby like the self titled album, and the piano seems to be just as good as alir. Love it!!!
