Deirdre got laid, did a little witchcraft, got cleaned up, and that was that. They could’ve at least let her hug Rowan or get a good glimpse of her before the untimely throat trauma. Jeez 😂😂

This episode was weird even by Anne Rice standards I mean we had Birds pooping on cars, women passing out on beaches and no body bothering to see if she was alive or dead , ghost banging and then throats getting slit on elevators like what the hell 😂😅, also I was so shocked that Deidre died and just when Rowan and Deidre finally got to meet in person , my friends and I were in complete shock 🤯

& cld they not spring for a few more prop birds to throw from off camera? i mean really. let her have kxlled all the birds. & i thought she'd bring one back to life...or do an autopsy to see if she caused haemorrage...but, nope. she went to the beach. gave them a burial. _JC

I'm really excited about this show. I think once it gets its footing it will be amazing. People are saying it's not witchy enough but like we're discovering the world at the same pace Rowan is.

OMG i totally agree. When she fell asleep on the beach and Ciprian just takes her picture and let’s her get her rest I guess? Wow. I’m still interested to see where they go with the story but they need to do it better.

You have in the first 10mins talking about this show than the whole 2 episodes. You a great story teller ...wish the show was as fun and informative as your description. Definitely will be here for other reactions and maybe a reread. Interview was such a gem and this is different.

I watched the show first and enjoyed it but was a bit confused, I then read the book then went back and watched the show again, it was so good! I really enjoyed it 😂

I'm going back thru the show w you. This vid makes me wonder what you think of the Suzanne pieces as a whole now that it's over. She was maybe my fave. Spoilers!! The way she calls him. Her face when she realizes what's happening, what power she's gained. Bravo actress! I wonder if I didn't know her from the book would it be like a cool mystery figuring out who is this cool accent Scottish woman?

Rowan is SUPER TWITCHY in so many of the scenes, like facial tics. I'm going to have to go back, rewatch, and see if they were there the whole time.

I think it was an acting choice. But I wish the character was more open to the audience. I get that Rowan is a closed of person but it doesn’t help when she’s also closed off to the viewers

As weird as the hand job seen is..... I don't know exactly what the significance is but I think it's connected with the crows that fly overhead and the crows that die on Rowan's car. Idk what the connection is, (something to do with the man's seed) but I do think it's a foreshadowing of something. Also I think Deidre could walk bc she still walked to her room etc... But she just didn't do it on her own unless she was guided. Just a guess on that. Lasher didn't kill Deidre, he really loves her and all his Witches. I think the man you see walking behind Rowan in the hall was who killed her.

It pretty clear that Courtland Mayfair and Lasher are either working together and one of them killed Deidra. I'm starting to suspect in the show at least Courtland did to Deidra's mother what he did to Deidra. 6 is tied to humans or demons just saying

*10:00** 9/10 pts who receive CPR outside of a hospital dxe.* my first ever research project was on how media has impacted the publics' incredible misunderstanding about both the function & use of CPR. & when it may be contraindicated, like if you are pumping a brain bleed into thr skull & crushing thr breathing ctrs, which you did instead of getting the defib. or pushing water further into the lungs (debated if this matrs...when 9/10 dxe anyway. butremember: if thr is a heartbeat, they do not need CPR.) _JC

I think the guy Suzanne was giving a handy to was Lord Donnalaith, the father of Deborah. And, yeah, I thought they would get back to that story, WTF? I’m sure they’ll show more with each episode. The Lasher plane sex was totally erotic in the book, but in the show with the mother/daughter ménage a trois, it was just uncomfortable!

I live down the road from the Mayfair House. Those damn birds are everywhere, I know exactly what it's like to want to fuck up those birds. If she takes out a few, I'm not mad. That said, you'd think a doctor would know better than to be fingerhandliing dead avians. Fun Fact: That beach was up in Mandeville on the North Shore of Lake Pontchartrain in Fontainebleau Park (in case anyone wants to visit.) It's my favorite lake park, it has gorgeous secluded swampy beaches.

Am I the only one that had no reaction to the ending? Like I have zero emotional connection to any of these characters 😅 I actually preferred the pilot over this episode. I thought the acting and dialogue and writing kinda went downhill this episode.

I despise every single detail of what they've done so far. There's not one single thing they've kept consistent with the book. I feel like this was written by children. And they've ruined Rowans personality. Who the hell is this scaredy cat, unsure, unconfident woman?!? Cause she's not Anne's Rowan.

100% agree. Loved the twisted Gothic horror of the book, thus show is dull as dishwater. And how dare they delete Michael and Aaron?!? I didn't even finish the season - went to read the book again instead lol

I can see a plot twist about Kech coming that he's actually not a terrible guy but he knew the other dude was a predator so didn't want Rowan working for him.

Did anyone notice when Lasher tried to reach his hand out and touch Rowan in the shower that Deidre yelled out no to him to not touch her. Not sure if it means anything. But also, when we see Deidre enter the elevator and it close that she was hold her key necklace again and looking up. when elevator door opened the necklace was not around her neck and her throat was slit so much her head was nearly falling off. I think the necklace was ripped off her in some way with magic that slit her throat? btw I've have not read the books so I got no idea what's going on its just something I noticed?

This show is a massive disappointment. I love the books, and I expect some artistic license but this is wholesale character and story assassination… never mind Keck’s astonishing recovery from a massive subdural hemorrhage… “hey look at me, no deficits ya’ll!!!”

No, the throat scene did not. Also, Ellie Mayfair never kept Rowan’s last name from her. It was actually a requirement that Rowan keep the Mayfair name. Ellie made Rowan promise not to ever go to New Orleans and had her sign what was essentially an unenforceable pledge agreeing not to go back or seek out her family. The first time she ever sees Deidre is at her wake. This Rowan is nothing like the Rowan in the book, accept for her taste in men. Carlotta is a huge let down too, she was just as evil but way more intimidating than she’s portrayed in the show. This Carlotta just seems like an evil version of the mom from the devils advocate film.

@@joee7978 yeah i was confused because in pilot Deidre kept talking about her crazy aunt and how even the priest is afraid of them but we don't even see the aunt's have power . I got the point they were making but it just seems so underserved
