Just gorgeous! It is so heartening to see someone who takes such a pride in his work. The back of the piece was finished, the small fingerprint removed. You would, and indeed should, be proud to put your name to your work. I am looking forward to your next vlog. I am glad that you show a representation of the sanding, staining etc as some vloggers show sanding etc until I feel like putting the kettle on and coming back to see if they have moved on. I wasn’t sure where you were going with this when you used a white stain, but wow. What a transformation and now looking so modern too. Would look good in any style of home. And great job on dealing with the pesky insect damage too

The drawers' wood is tiger eye and should be stained darker. This is great for pine or other lighter wood, but this type of grain should be stained darker and warmer color. I used to restore antique radios. But... it's your channel, your work. Keep up with the great work. Like how you are consistent about small details in your videos. The headers, font, music, doggie (big plus). Also you put some light humor in before, I'm a big DIY kibitz and binge watch woodworking, metal working, restorations. Some channels even though have a very knowledgeable content creator, but if their delivery is dry, monotone and boring, they could not hold interest for long. You looks like you have a great channel in the making.

Yes, I agree with you that on this wood a darker stain would do the wood more honer, however, I really like the effect of the white stain on the set of drawers!

The techniques shown are the mark of the genuine craftsman. A brush and vacuum and then using a cleaning agent to get the project started. We see the washing done that we are almost certain leaves residue in the joins and corners. The brush and vacuum take care of that nicely. The insect repair is a great touch. We also saw the best way to spray. Across rather that vertically. Well done Sir!

How could you not love Daisy, while I'm always impressed by your skill and artistry I think you're so lucky to have a wonderful friend, I'd have preferred a bit darker finish to show off the woodgrain, just my personal preference.

So, so pretty. Few of the DYI folks do a white stain, but tend toward the dark look or paint. I remember this look from the 1990s was called "shabby chic," but it looks timeless to me. Thank you, and Daisy, for an enjoyable rehab of this lovely oak chest. Cheers from Oklahoma!

W O W, David!! What a STUNNING transformation. Love love love the white stain (was not expecting it). And that piece in all solid quartersawn, WOW. Especially since often the tops are a less expensive wood with veneer. Really love the way you repaired the bug holes with leftover detail from another piece, it looks like it was made that way. The wood grain of this piece is spectacular. The trim you added fits the design so well. I like the original hardware, too! The bolt covers make it look more finished. I’m not usually a fan of whitewashed finishes, but the white stain really enhances this piece. I love watching your videos. Give Daisy a scratch behind the ears for me.

Love the video. I want to do this color on some of my oak pieces. I have endlessly been scouring YT for a how to and how it would look. All I have been able to come up with is the use of chalk.
