I know Mayim doesn't read the comments, BUT can someone tell her I love her and thank you for talking about mental health! I am really starting to not be so hard on myself after watching all these people talk about how they feel and think and stress about life. I feel so much better and not so alone. THANK YOU, Mayim ♥

Mayim often reads the comments. Put a ❤️ and answer to those she found she must. It has happened to me more than twice. I’m quite sure if she’s not doing it now is because she must have no time.

@@m_brokenleg I remember he scolded her one time for “reading comments again”. I figured she was trying not to for some reason. But I figured someone on her team reads them. I just want them to tell her thank you. It’s really lonely to think you’re the only one going through stuff. I know I’m not the only one, but seeing and hearing from people that seem to have it more together than I do is comforting. Like if they’ve gotten through it, so can I ❤️

Why is Mayim mistreating Jonathan in every opportunity she gets? It’s rather subtle but she does. I love her but I feel bad for the poor guy. Perhaps she doesn’t do it on purpose but nonetheless, she does in quite a few episodes. Someone close to her please bring this to her attention.

It’s so good to here you guys talk about medicines…. Who would have known I’m so similar to Sarah Silverman?? I’m going through the depression and rage and feel like I’m just broken and no hope for me to be okay in society, but it gives me hope because she went through the same and how could you not like her? It means a lot. Thank you ladies.
@HH-gv8mx
@HH-gv8mx Жыл бұрын
Do you take any medication for that? It seems like every celebrity I have been listening to lately on any talk show is on some kind of anti-depressant. Sarah Silverman, Nikki Glaser, Kristen Bell, Chelsea Handler was just talking about how she had to take beta blockers for anxiety… Does anybody just feel their emotions anymore? I’m always scared to be on mind altering substance. I went through kind of a traumatic episode after college which led to a huge change in my life. When I started a new job my mom made me go to a psychiatrist to get on antidepressants because that’s what she thought that I needed. The doctor prescribed me Wellbutrin. That drug (it may be because I didn’t really need it because I didn’t have a chemical in balance) made me feel really off. I was in my 20s and think that I was probably drinking at the same time which you probably shouldn’t do when you’re taking antidepressant what is the first time I felt a shift in my brain that I did not like. Whoever thought I was depressed before that medicine was making me feel dull. After that the same doctor prescribed me Adderall and Xanax. I remember getting into horrible fights with my boyfriend especially when I was taking that combo of pills and I was only having to take Xanax when I had anxiety about being around him. I eliminated the talks of people from my life whether it’s family members or boyfriends and I no longer had to take anything.

I never thought I would fall for this, but I did. Slowly I gave up on pieces of me because of him. Because we had twins, because I had no family in this country, because, because, because, until I did not recognize myself and I could not continue like this. Thank you.

It’s very odd that Mayim encourages people to rethink what they’ve been taught about childbirth for the past 100 years, but she’s willing to NOT do that about the Germ Theory. In order for a theory to be valid, it must be reproducible in each and every patient. It’s call a Theory for a reason.

Fantastic show, Mayim!! Kol Hakovod. I lost my daughter recently and also have suffered from depression myself. We all need to talk about our issues openly. You pave the way. Open the conversation. We all have mental issues and physical issues to deal with. Why do we share all the details of our bodily problems but do not do the same for mental problems that we ourselves or family or friends are experiencing? Shame, right? You are bringing this to light. You are ending the shame by speaking so openly about your own past and bringing in others to share.

Wow Mayim similarly my maternal grandparents had a daughter that passed at age 10 in a very horrific freak accident. Her and her older brother were the only children they were going to have… but they decided to have another and 3 years later (1933) my mom was born. Unfortunately she always felt that she was her sister’s replacement… she was only here because her sister had died… almost like survivors guilt only she hadn’t been born yet if that’s even possible. It never occurred to her until I told her that she was the one that was supposed to be here not her sister. The look on her face is one I’ll never forget… “I never thought of it like that” she said. Love these videos… wouldn’t have found your podcast so thanks for uploading to yt!! 💟

Exactly! I went through a mammogram guided biopsy of my breast this past spring and two attempts in and two near fainting episodes later the nurses starting discussing that maybe I would need to go to the 1 clinic in the state that has a lay down mammogram machine. 1 clinic in the state! Rest assured if men needed to get a mammogram or a mammogram guided biopsy on the regular, there would be lay down machines in every clinic.

Patty- I never comment but used to be in a similar situation. I ended up seeing a pelvic floor PT for weakness in my legs. Pelvic floor PT cured 90 percent of chronic nausea and vomiting because I had trigger points actively pushing HARD on the nerve that controls digestion and it was like a miracle when I got relief. If you also have jaw problems with PTSD then that’s another sign you need pelvic floor PT. I still cry with gratitude that I feel functional again.

I am very conservative, and have stayed far from Sarah's political talk, but I wanted to see her real self so I watched. She seems like a very caring, thoughtful person. I wish she would change from jabbing my political colleagues to just explaining without hateful comments. For example, we may like Trumps policies, but a lot of us don't care for some of his actions. We're like her, only have different opinions. Let's start finding our similarities, not our differences.
